I'll have a wee sive through it later and see whats on offer and see if it gives me any ideas. It's good to see these places as as i say i could oly find out whatever shite google will dish up on its front page.

Pocket 5's looks ok but no more but then i might not know. I do like the thought of a Hand Discussion place. I would love to be able to just post ny hand i liked without fear of being either over bearing with my hand posting amounts or turning the forum into just loads of hands. If im too shy to post a hand then i'm pretty sure less shy members would be too.

you all not fancy a forum just for hand discussion? It not a good idea? I trust all your better judgement. Its just the level of poker im at at the moment i want to post every 2nd hand nearly. Anyhow enough about what i like and want.

well maybe i'm mistaken. Actually your right alex thats what i need to do and start turning into a winning player. I dont know how i lose money playing poker as im in the money 2 times out of 3 Went through a bad patch when i was trying to play late last week. about 7 4th places in a row. I forgot about folks being tigher than tight and staying clear of the one with the big stack. I wasnt for caring as i had completely forgotten about caring.

Them quizes on pokerxfactor are brilliant Alex thanks. Im gonna make some myself. Obviously i wont be setting the questions

Re: p5's - it has some good articles and it's free.It's read by some of the worlds best players, and you can actually learn a lot from their posts/replies.

Their podcasts are current, and exclusive, and their automatic tracking of results is cool as fook (they get your results from the "big sites" and have a leaderboard - ego tastic but I love the idea. If it wasn't soo much hassle to do I know I would do it on my own site)


I am sceptical of paysites (eg. pxf) but I have tried it and it served me well. not tried sngicons - would be interested in speaking to anyone here who joins it...

2+2 is just essential. If you are making a megathread of poker links / sites (as I suspect you are- Then you Have to list it! ) - (altho maybe you are just looking for good content ideas since content is KING..?)


how fking cool is the pxf replayer? I am gonna learn some flash to make a branded version of one of those.. only better great marketing / PR tool and great because who can be arsed reading a HH when you can see it being played - slow it down, pause it, listen to commentary and see the odds..

I have to admit i want one Alex. Infact im away to get one rght now Nah i gonna look though as i to think their great. I don't know how it will all work. I havent looked at pxf Alex but it sounds impressive and im easily impressed with a bit of Flash. If any budding computer programmers into a bit of php and flash and the like are interested in working on a few things then email me at the usual address.

I think youve got a head start on me here Alex as i still dont know what a card-replayer is Ive got time and determiation mind Alex. Never to be underestimated. If i see it and i like it i could get manic on it from now til a week on wednesday and bring one out. Only for it to be generally ignored and maybe resurface in an upgraded version in 6 months time.

thats the pxf replayer- it takes a hh, animates it, lets u annotate, tag people, shows the odds, overlay audio and so much more.. an essential tool for any poker site I think. shame they branded it though

What does everyone rank as the 'best' poker site? In terms of the software etc and ease of use?

Software:
I like Prima (Bet365, Stans Poker, Dream Poker as well as Laddies (but is independent of the Prima network)) for its no nonsense quickness and playability, however it tends to attract the better players.

Ipoker (NoIQ Poker, Victor Chandler) is growing on me and is where I play the majority of my poker. Ideally you want a site with rakeback as well.

As another well known TDPer has also said there are 3 things to look for in a poker site (in reverse order of importance):

1. Software - I would pick the Prima network for this but there are a lot of good new sites around. Loads of choice and not overly important.

2. Bonuses/Rakeback: It has to be IPoker (specfically NoIQ Poker) for this. They have a very good rakeback system plus you can earn free money simply by playing.

3. Toughness of games: VERY important. You want easy money obviously, so you may have to sacrifice some of points 1 & 2 to get this. I have found that the Prima network along with Pokerstars (cash tables) are the hardest around, with IPoker and usually the newer sites being the easist to beat.

I like Canbet funkt. I dont like that way that you have to be 'a character' though (old lady, asian, fat cigar man etc) though as i get instant dislike to some of the characters and i tend to play a bit wreckless just to 'get it up them'

Im using William Hill now as i found 2 quid in it. It's a bit dark the software but i think William Hills Poker is the best place to pick up women
