Who else thought a 6 was coming there? It was scripted I tells ye! It's all special effects. I was just glad I could switch the fucking thing off. Remind me to stick to edited 'highlights'.

Re: WSOP Chatter

Ronald McDonald Foundation? Is he giving the money to MacDonalds? He's given them enough already by the looks of things.

I didnt think it, I knew it.

Glad he won actually he did well in the end. Still not the greatest player but he did well shorthanded. Gota like him really, lost about 5 big all in pots too and still bounced back.

Re: WSOP Chatter

Damn it, after watching it for about 12hrs I bloody well fell asleep at the last hour. I'd be bloody useless in a war or any other walk of life for that matter that actually required finishing what you start.

I'm seriously sleep deprived, congrats to the dude who won it but you're only keeping the crown warm till raisin arrives next year

I don't really understand the hate Yang's been getting across all the poker forums, while it's true he wasn't the best player and made questionable plays/calls but from what i saw from the first 9-10 hours, he was only one who was playing to win right from the start and I respect that.

Yeah he was the most aggressive and bossed Lam about a lot pre flop - thought it might be the other way about but fair play. He'll get a lot of criticism as the hands where he doubled up kravchenko twice with poor calls will be the hands that are remembered, rather than all the little pots he picked up, but you are probably right that its unwarranted.

And who couldn't fail to warm to him after his interview...superb! Just a humble Joe Bloggs from the street who obviously feels as blown away as any of us would at winning something like that.

Re: WSOP Chatter

I'm interested to see what hand he had against Childs QQ and how the play will be edited in the ESPN show.

Re: WSOP Chatter

Its a pity i missed the last few hours of this game. Would have been great to see.

I liked Yang. Looking forward to seeing his interview and the televised ESPN episode.

As Pistol says, hes just warming up the seat for me next year. lol.

I'd hate to see me go on tilt in the main event. It would be a disaster.

Re: WSOP Chatter

I thought he was a bit much in that interview. He kept going on about Jesus and doing good for everyone with his winnings, and then proceeded to say he was giving away 10%
I'd give away more than that, and I wouldn't be making the big deal of it that he did. 8.5M FFS, he can afford to give away a little.

Thought most of the play at the final table was pants tbh, and I wouldn't give Yang much credit, apart from aggression. Thats either going to end up winnings lots of chips or losing em - nothing in between. I don't think it was any particular skill on his behalf.

He prayed to God for his river card (by his own admission) and he got it!
