Remembering Pot Odds And Outs

Poker Office is starting to make me remember these without looking and yes they are improving my game or they will. Does anyone have any good 'rule of thumb' guides to this. I'll add some for my own referance as i go.

straight and flush draw (both) on the river = 2.8/1

Re: Remebering Pot Odds And Outs

pot odds and outs are fundemental to playing the game properly arent they? i know there's a lot to be said about being a self taught poker lonewolf but you'll just be pissing in the wind in the long run i suppose. Once you learn it all you can go back to just playing it as you feel relaxed with no doubt. All this learning things though is really messing with my bankroll i suppose i could say

Aye it's just what i was needing Scottie. As i say my game has gone to pot a bit but when it comes to making calls ...well actually it just helps in so many ways and also i can feel things sinking in a bit faster on the pot odds.

off hand.....

nah i still forget them all. Bar the livetracker Scottie is there anything else on Poker Office that's worth looking into more as it's just a huge big poker consol of stats to me and i havent the knowledge to understand what it all reads.

Whats the biggest pot odds youve ever seen? I mean the ones that show in the middle of the table when using poker office and the ones that i should be able to work out for myself. I was getting 56/1 on a 6/1 call earlier. I raised it i think. forget how it went but it looked like great value

Heres one pasted from an ol Jez thread. Jez is getting 90,000/1 (yes you read it right) and he folded

Quote:
I had an open straight flush draw on the button. I called a large raise preflop from a big stack. Raised the flop, which got called. The guy then bet 250 into 400 on the blank turn. He had 250.01 in his stack and I elected to flat call rather than raise so as to save my money if I missed . Ofc I missed and he bet all in. If I had hit a pair then of course I was calling but seeing as I had 8 high I couldnt really be arsed paying 1 cent to see his cards I decided to SAVE THAT CENT and fold rather than call it .
