Just about to fire off to bed but will have a proper think at work tomorrow and post up, but the first thing that pops out to me is that (and it's easy to say with hindsight) if you had been very tight aggressive then he's got to assume you aren't gonna check raise all in with middle pair or worse, nor with any sort of draw, so he's only gonna call when you are behind(altho you are getting some fold equity and might get stronger top pairs to fold.) In that case, and given that he's been raising a lot preflop so your read here is very limited, it looks like a bit of a lottery to get all the chips in with top pair medium kicker when he could have pretty much anything.

Depending on how he'd been playing if you lead out for 10k or so I can't imagine you get reraised unless you are behind, and you would still then be in good shape v the small stack to get to the beefcake prizes. Interesting one tho.

Thanks Kris, as i said previously, been a wee while since I had a decent cash so feels good. Was dabbling in cash games for a while there but it's not for me, all my success have been in MTT's so I'll be sticking with that from now on.
