Is that A levels you are talking about ? It's slightly different in england than in scotland innit, what does england have these days ?
That's the thing, money has never bothered me, I'm not arsed about earning loads and having all the mod cons etc. If you want shit loads of cash gambling is not the thing you wanna be getting involved in.
Some people treat education like a status symbol. I've got a 1st class honours from bla de bla uni, check me out I'm pure well dead clever etc.
Or they see a degree as a must have thing to be in the fancy people club.
Can't be fucked with those people.
I think going to university teaches you alot more just than what it does academically. You get alot of life experience from it in general.
Alot of people often make their friends for life at university.
Anyway we're supposed to be talking about poker right ? See when I was at uni there were of course local message boards and clubs on the uni computer network. I wanted to get a gambling one of the go......did I get any support ? Did I fuck ! ?

Poker and gambling in general was still frowned upon then and the thought that someone could be skillful at cards/gambling and make a living was scoffed at ! The bastards !
Now they have fecking poker societys that receive funding and everything !
It may amuse you to know I spent a large amount of time when I should have been in lectures on the message boards laying into christians and generally nit picking everything I could with the bible and religion in general.
It's interesting how things change, poker is now played amongst different universities the same way hockey or football etc is. Such a large change in only 10 years. Internet of course has played a large part.
