Re: Poker Player Grand Prix3 Round 1

Nice one!

It was good to be playing in a big tourny again. I like the freerolls and now that the pokerplayer subscription seems to have picked up a bit there were plenty of people taking part. Around 700 I think.

I played okay, couple of dodgy hands as you might expect and missing opportunities to take the initiative in hands and then having to throw them when I could feasibly have taken them.

The tough thing for me is to see a flop of something like J55 when you've just binned J5os because you were out of position!

But hey, that's poker!

I hate sites you can see the hands you've thrown. I make a point of always forgetting what I've dumped. How many times would that hand come out if you played it? If you are binning winning hands then you are doing ok. I always say, would i call a raise on this, if I wouldn't I'll bin it. Unless I'm stealing of course.

Very unlucky gaz, bugger when you play all that time and still only get the 5pts.

I'll play if I'm home from work in time, but that's gonna be pretty unlikely I think. Fingers crossed

Re: Poker Player Grand Prix3 Round 1

bad one for me again. Played steady got into top 80 with 8000 chips and as usual failed with my patience again after keep folding crap cards. Went all-in with QQ and met KK out in 194th, just seem to lose it lately approaching the later stages of MTT's and get fed up. Playing mainly £5 STT's on Will Hill lately and I have made the money in 16 out of my last 22 games.

I thought that was really bad last night, right from the off every time I thought I'll have a go with this hand some idiot would go all-in.

I had the chip leader at my table and he went from 1st to out in 3 hands, unfortunately I didn't have any hands worth calling him with at the time. He was just all-in, all-in all the time.

I ended up all-in with 99 as I too was fed up and I was just keeping my head above the water. A few hands before it I had folded 66 to two all-ins only to see another 6 come out and a pair of queens winning.
