ok bit pissed off with this as it was the best ive played in a tourney i think !
inside edge ibiza touney where first wins a weekend party in ibiza
about 15 left im in good posisition and limp in with a9 suited after tight player also calls .. bb checks .... flop 3 5 9 rainbow ... tight bets out 400 i reraise to 2k (have 8k left ) now bb puts all his 12k in tight player calls .... a few months ago i would have called this but gave it some thought fearing the big blind having made 2 pair or trips also thought tight player might have over pair so layed them down to save tourney ....... turn 9 ,,, now im pissed off river jack bb turns over 9 5 for full house... tight player kk now i was really pleased and really fancied doing well

UNTIL

still played well down to 6 and in 2nd with 16k and in bb (800 )with the two red aces all fold sb (10k )raises to 2k and i put him all in ... he thinks and calls showing unsuited k9 board comes kq9 k 7 this left me the short stack and eventually went out in 4th .
i was really pissed off because in my mind i played really well and if my aces had held up i would have had a good chip lead and am confident i could have won .also his call was somewhat speculative/
posted on here because no sympathy from wife ..... "oh you did well to come 4th "

Thats pretty unlucky daydle. You know your playing well and in with a great chance, until you get brutally unlucky and have a beat like that. All poker players know how it feels....you just have to get onto the next one and the key is to keep playing as well as you did in that tourney. If you do that eventually everything will flow your way......

got sweet f a mate which makes it a bit worse but after got knocked out played cash game and finished $150 up so wasnt a bad night
