Pontefract - Monday night

6.45 - Can't really see past the fav LA CHICALUNA here, clocked a very good time when 2nd nine days ago, none of her rivals to have raced should be up to beating her so unless there's an above average newcomer in the field she should win this comfortably, albeit at a short price.

8.15 - this looks like a match between MONT ETOILE and EXPENSIVE and although the former is a Gp2 winner, that win was over 1m4f and the drop back to 1m is very much against her, especially as EXPENSIVE is probably going to be able to set her own pace. It'll be a surprise if MONT ETOILE has the toe to win what is likely to be a slowly-run 1m race.

8.45 - Not much early pace in this race either despite there being 15 runners, which means it'll be tough to come from off the pace. The fav BRIGADORE will have his work cut out as he likes to come late off a fast pace, which can be said about mant of these. My shortlist is MINNOW, TURN ME ON and RIQUEWIHR and I fancy the latter to bring home the bacon at a nice price (9/1 at the moment at BF). He has a great chance to lead or sit just off the lead here, he has run 2 good races at Pontefract (2nd both times) and is ver consistant in big fields. He also likes turning tracks and he looks sure to run a big race and is a great ew bet. I'll be having savers on MINNOW and TURN ME ON and also fcs and a tricast...just in case

RIQUEWIHR sweated up badly and drifted out to 14/1 before running flat...can be forgiven that run. One of the savers TURN ME ON beaten a short-head after a huge gamble into 9/2 from 10/1.
