Re: Magyar's Musings

Nice one smk . Yep Budapest well worth a visit . Back to its best since the communists left. Lake Balaton is another place worth checking out. Great for sights all watersports and plenty of good wineries . They fly direct from Stanstead cheap flights.

CARLISLE 4.35 - LADY RANGALI Did me well last season. Ran a nice race 1st time back 08 and can win today for stable with decent 3yo record here.

Re: Magyar's Musings

3 N/RS y/day beats my record

FRIDAY
---------
Chester 7.15 Cornish Rose LAY @ 2.1 Don't like this one tonight . Trainer poor 2yo record , ridden by apprentice whose never rode Chester before, slow out stalls on debut in a poor looking Newmarket maiden.

Newcastle 7.25 Green Park Win @ 8/1 Looked ready to win when back on softer ground after good run at Chester two runs back. Excuses last two runs now runs off lower mark than winning this race last year.

Doncaster 3.25 Wildcat Wizard Won 1st time up when looking fat in paddock and can progress again.

Re: Magyar's Musings

MONDAY
-----------
4.00 WOLVES
A sentimental bet for me today. Two years ago i won my biggest ever amount on a horse when LE CHIFFRE ,who i owned a leg of at the time won the very same race as today. It was a great day as the horse had problems
but a massive heart and willing attitude. Anyway now with new connections
who have done well with him. Last time back from a break ran a nice race in a better grade than today . Over a distance too far showed up well for 7f only to weaken away. That race has thrown up some winners since. Today
he runs in this race for 3rd time having been 1st and 3rd in past. Jockey seems compatant having rode a winner recently aswell as placed horses. Trainer a good strike rate at Wolves with older horses. Back in a more suited grade i'm expecting a good run and can see him being well backed today . So i will have a nice win/place bet at best odds i can find.

Re: Magyar's Musings

Well Le Chiffre made me a happy chappy 2nd @10/1 and still seems to have an appitite for racing.

Thursday 3/6/08
--------------------

Redcar 6.40 - Two horses of interest both on list to follow Rievialux World and Camelot Communion. RW is now an odds on fav and no value for me now. At 10/1 CC looks good value ew considering tonight gets a 8lb pull for a 1and 3/4 length beating by RW when they met 2 runs back. On that occasion CC missed the break which is a bit of a hindrance over 5f. Since then RW has come good and looks to have improved. CC bombed out big time when very well backed last time, but was bumped early in race which may have unnerved the horse. Given time to recover and stable in better form now. Tonight of 5 runners 4 like to go from the front and CC able to sit of pace. CC may be able to benefit if they cut each others throats and the race falls apart.

CAMELOT COMMUNION EW @ 1O/1

Re: Magyar's Musings

Le Chiffre runs again today 2.45 Wolves looks to have every chance today. This his time of year, has won in July last two seasons. Big win/place bet for me.

Re: Magyar's Musings

Sos Kop.Just got in and seen video. What sick'ner !. Le Chiffre backed into 2/1 fav . Travelling really well at front, jock sends him on 3f out, soon put distance between self and field , 1f out looks a certainty ( trades as low as 1.05 on betfair) a yes gets beat finishing 3rd.
Couldn't get a decent place bet on betfair early this morn so i left an order @ 1.8 . After seeing 2/1 sp thought no chance of having got matched. But bugger me i did! So ended up with a nice bit of profit Life doesn't always kick you in the bollocks.
