Anyway managed to get 5/2 early as SP 7/4 so happy with that. I think still some more to come from Topazes and should be upto winning some more races.
WON again today but all out at 4/5 fav . I think thats job done for this one now. It's off my radar now.

Tonight

6.20 - Swanky Lady is out of what could be a decent maiden. My Shadow didn't seem to act on track at Windsor last time and back on AW could continue progression shown previously.
Prince Desire also of interest after some good shows last season. Swanky Lady well backed today and MERLIN fancies it so at prices i'll put up My Shadow EW

6.50 LEGISLATION - Been on my list since 1st run last season and given a step up in trip which has looked to need and trainer in great form got to back it @ 3/1

Re: Magyar's Musings

Yesterday's two both beat but still of interest.

LINGFIELD TODAY

I fancy MASAALEK strong in 2.40 but got a feeling will be a very short price

3.40 BENTONG - I thought could reach the heights last season and was in my ten to follow entry. A problem stopped the horses progression last season. Won first time back this season on unsuitable ground. Jockeys comment about the horses class helping get job done were interesting. Todays surface will be much more in the horses favour. I got my hopes on this one fulfilling 2yo promise.

MUSS 4.20 - hill billy rock been interested in this horse this season and convinced being aimed to land a decent pot somewhere this year. Not much of price today and i think i'll wait till can get better odds another day.

ONE BET TODAY - BENTONG WIN

Masaalek and hilly billy rock both won in good fashion but SPs of 8/13 and 13/8 not my bag.

Re: Horse Notebook - Flat Season

New Approach A really well bred colt . Trained by J.Bolger. Really impressive looking , mover won first two races in really taking fashion. I've backed him @25/1 both for Derby and 2000gns this morning. I think we will here alot more about this one. Bolger missed out with Teofilo this season but maybe 2008 will see New Approach turn into a star.

:n ails:thi nking

I think a small lay would be prudent tomorrow!

Re: Magyar's Musings

SUNDAY

NEWMARKET 3.20 - LAURELDEAN GALE EW @ 25/1 Plenty of fancied ones in the race, but looking for something from a horse that should stay the trip and a price in a race that often goes to an unfancied one. . Was well backed for this race last season prior to bombing out on last run. Fillies can be hard to predict but Godolphin paid a bit for this girl. A bit of a stab in dark to be honest but a small interest for me with questions over all the field.

NEWMARKET 3.55 - ENTICING EW @6/1 As long as the rain stays away.

Re: Magyar's Musings

LAURELDEAN GALE developed into a bit of a move in market prior to race 25's into 14/1 looking superb in paddock but ran poorly and looks to be going nowhere fast now.

ENTICING managed to finish 3rd.

Yesterday had to leave racing alone cos of family commitments, and as i'm sure has happened to everyone all the horses went in! 4 winners and a placed at gd odds. Aftertiming i know, but a warning that todays will probably dip out.

TODAY

4.10 Chepstow - MEGA WATT Given to much to do last time.

8.35 Catterick - DUBAI MEYDAN Well backed and looked a little disappointing last time. But was blowing hard after race and needed the run and trainers record at that track with 3yo is poor.A gelding operation was muted by connections after that run but i assume that been put on back burner for now.Good things were expected as a 3yo and stable in superb form at present so i'm sticking with this one. An EW bet if early price allows .
