Right then, this next one has attracted my attention. At first glance, the fav looks a good bet so I'm having 20 points win on Mahmjra in the 510 at Southwell (11/4 Premierbet but it's likely to go off shorter).
However, one that interests me is the top weight Cordier. It's trained by J Mackie who pulled off a 50/1 coup with this horse on the all weather at Wolverhampton in Feb 2006.
The horse has won two and been placed in another of its 5 all weather starts and although it hasn't raced on the all weather for a while, it likes the surface and I'm inclined to trust its fitness as a previous trainer brought it back from a six month lay off to win its first all weather race. Although it hasn't won at this distance it has won at a furlong shorter and at a furlong further so I'm happy to take the gamble at 5pt ew at 12/1 (19 on
betfair and you'll probably get 3/1 for a place if you ask for it)
