I´m fairly certain that guys who post regularly and who had an opinion about this match would have posted.
(Sad that the lurkers also have opinions but choose not to share is another topic)

But we who have opinions and do share clearly didn´t have anything to contribute today.

For my part it was difficult to see how the efficient Deutchers would measure up against the best Africans (see my earlier post) and the hope is/was that a final between two European sides was the worst possible scenario and a Nigerian win then was from the heart rather than from the head.

It all turned out nice again though, didn´t it?

Nigeria-Spain

The Spanish had their main striker sent off in the dying seconds of the semi-final against Ghana and they will miss him. One of the best in Europe, Bojan committed the ultimate sin of 2 yellows when I thouight he should have been booked early on for demanding a yellow card for one one of the Ghanainians. Justice comes...

They´ll miss him sorely and I´d expect the Africans then to march onwards with their superior physique, skill and perseverance.

I didn´t see the Spanish too much in the early rounds but I think better than evens for the Africans is a steal.

12:00 Sunday. Funnily enough you can get 6/4 on Nigeria at Expekt Peter. After what i saw today the Nigerians looked good going forward but they were gifted the goals a bit and they were like bambi a bit with their shooting. I dont know what to make of them really. they seemed RAW i sauppose (whatever that means)

Germany are 2.60 with Expekt also for the 3rd place play off. I still like the sound of the germans. I only watched the first half i must confess but by my reckoning there ould be a good bet to be had here somewhere.

germany "gifted' the game, by two crucial mistakes of the poor goalkeeper, also some missing chances in second half...imo ghana is by far the best african team, nigeria nothing to impress me guys

Bottom line is Nigeria have beat every team put before them in ninety minutes.

Spain have played extra-time in their last 2 games suggesting they are hard to break down but maybe lack a killer punch.

Is there any water left in the spanish well? In the absence of their spearhead striker its a big ask. Not sure how good the replacement will be.
