Re: Euro Qualifiers: 13th October

Call me unpatriotic (i cant even spell the word) call me a heathen, call me a no use bstard but ive been waiting to back ukraine in this one for about 4 months now. This is the way things go for scotland. Watch as we undo all our good work. I felt similarly mind when Croatia came to Scotland a few years back n similar circumstances and the 2-2 didnt help any of us. sorry Scotland but im gonna be on Ukraine pretty heavy. I wont feel good whatever happens thinking about it. The draw will probably kill me. Will scotland be happy with a draw? The Ukraines to win it i still say. i do hope im wrong though. Bah i can't bet Ukraine

Scotland are 1/2 to not qualify. I might as well slap the ukrainian goalie if we're winning 1-0 and get the game cancelled. folks will hate me just as much

Ucraine no chance imo, i hope you change your mind before is too late.

scots are working too hard to qualify, and i rate ucraine as an average eastern team, is NOT a big quantity, is not a big mountain in front of scots, home win or draw is my prediction here

Re: Euro Qualifiers: 13th October

Thanks Martens. I agree i dont know too much about Ukraine myself Martens but i'm just betting on Scotland having one of their usual galant failures. All that good work only to undo it in a game where they are favourites. IFrom memory Ukraine looked ok going forward v Scotland last time and i can well expect them to shit on scotland's parade. I suppose im gonna lay scotland. i hope they prove me wrong. I can't lose can i then? (not good betting advice )

To be honest, I haven't the foggiest how this one is going to go. We are punching above our weight, no doubts about that but we are also the ones with all the motivation in this game. Ukraine are practically out of it and it would need a strange set of results to see them going through. Then again I never like backing sides who "have to win" against teams who have nowt to play for.

They beat us 2-0 across in Ukraine last October but we didn't do to badly in that game. They went 1-0 up after HT, Kenny Miller missed a sitter of a header with 8 mins to go. They got a shady pen in the last min to tie it up at 2-0. They were the better side but they were the ones at home who were doing all the attacking so I think the emphasis was on them to come at us.

Overall, as I said, no idea how its going to go and any result of the 3 wouldn't surprise me.

Re: Euro Qualifiers: 13th October

It's gonna be a draw Crowie just like that Croatia game. A point is gonna keep us in it and just delay the heartache. Truth be told though this is the perfect time for scotland to be gallant in defeat and bring us all back down to earth imo although i hate to think like that. Maybe i am just trying to soften the blow.

I wrote a little bit about it on my TDP Blog earlier if anyone want to check out my gaff-

Quote:
As some of you will know or not know i’m not the best man to ask about anything above Scottish Division one. thats not to say i don’t have my usual astute nose on me when it comes to all things betting and especially football related. Let’s see what we have this weekend in a crucial weekend of of International football.

As i have already mentioned in my posts on TDP’s thread about this HERE and here if you are reading this right now straight from the thread. I cant see Scotland getting anything this weekend as this always happens to Scotland. the lay of them is almost a guaranteed thing to me although i note Crowie has just replied so i will think about what he has said and adjust accordingly. Ukraine are 5/2 with Boylesports and thats nerely perverse to me. Anyhow im gonna go as you all know i’m just using this as an examplke of the new blogs TDP offers our valued members and as always with a lifetime of support. It might be a bit skatty but TDP is down.blah blah blah.

What we all thinking this weeknd chaps? Must be a whole assortment of good things in a weekend such as. If we were all one brain then we would be half way there. We might want to hide in pockets and just get a long but sometimes you have to stretch outwith your skin and say I HAVE A BET THIS WEEKEND and we want to know about it.

Re: Euro Qualifiers: 13th October

I'm interested in Spain and Holland both away from home.

For whats it worth I don't think Scotland will beat the Ukraines and I'm more confident of them getting a result on Wed night away to Georgia than I am for them getting one against the Ukraines.

As Crowie says Scotland done ok against then over there but they where the better side and I thought they had a few very talented players. Their other results haven't been as good as I had expected - technically they can still qualify and I think they would have been confident if they hadn't lost a late equaliser away to Georgia. With Scotland getting a result at home against France I think the Ukrainians will like to think they could repeat the feat and if they can beat Scotland at Hampden, then beat Lithuania away then if they beat France on their own patch. This is do or die for them and they will not be easy.

Re: Euro Qualifiers: 13th October

just to remind you :

scotland 1-0 france

scotland 1-1 italy

france 0-1 scotland, and recently : celtic 2-1 milan! lyon 0-3 rangers!

are those results enough for you? or maybe you think ukraine is more quality of the world champions and finalists italians and french???

hehe, i can not imagine that any wise punter will choose ukranians to win, i understand soccer is soccer, everything is probable, but here my logic doesnt allow me to place even a single penny on away win

Home win or draw

c u

Re: Euro Qualifiers: 13th October

Scotland will be without Hartley and Fletcher in midfield and both of them are big losses.

McCulloch will slot in I'd imagine but as there are still a few days yet more injuries could arise (hope not) but team news is going to play a major part in this for me

Re: Euro Qualifiers: 13th October

I'm sorry Martens but you have no idea what it's like to be a Scotland fan. this is what we do. It don't matter who the opposition is on Saturday we will shoot ourselves in the foot. Remember Holland. Same thing. when the heat is on Scotland put in gallant but eventually unlucky performances. to me this is a game that Scotland can't win and my head is telling me to lay Scotland all the way
