Norn Iron have beaten Spain, Sweden, Lichenstein and Latvia all at home in the group Healey has scored in each game the 1st goal so why not 2-1 and yer man to score 1st goal @ 50/1. must be worth a quid better still 1-0 or 2-0 .iv'e a feeling we can win this one.
Damn, when I saw odds 2/1 for Bulgaria in the opening post from Komp, I smiled involuntarily. But... it would have been too good.
2.50 now the best price for homewin.
Both teams have nothing to play for, nobody in Bulgaria hopes Holland to drop 4 points. But it's a special clash, and Bulgarian team's dignity is on the table here. Another loss will come too much for the fans. So the team will go out and try to get some revenge against the neigbours. There's no question for me, home team will try to win. It's another topic if they have the class to do that. Berbatov's out of form, Petrov's out of form... in fact I can't think of anybody in-form at the mo. Anyway, this is a kind of game that can turn things around. Romania's motivation will be close to zero i think. They'll be more than happy to get a draw certainly, but nobody will refuse to put one more nail in Bulgaria's coffin... Bulgaria's shite defence is a tasty one to bite.
From what I said it looks like a strange game to get involved in, but I see some value and I will put some money on the overs, 2.25 available for O2.5 at the moment.
I'll be on over 2.5 and over 3.5 @4.20.
Also correct score 2:1 and 2:2.
If anyone's interested, just take a look at Russian bookie's Fonbet odds for Israel v Russia:
8.00 - 4.25 - 1.32
I'm about to put half my bank in betfair on CS 0:1 @6.51.
With all due respect to the rest of European football's big guns, most eyes this Saturday could focus on the Euro 2008 fates of the only trio from the continent to have won the World Cup.
Israel's hosting of Russia and Italy's visit to Scotland will have implications for all four of those teams - with a place at next summer's European Championships at stake for three of them.
But the results of those matches could also go a long way in deciding whether England, France and Italy get to travel to next summer's footballing extravaganza in Switzerland and Austria.
Russia, third in group E, could leave Steve McClaren's under-achieving England deeper in the mire by becoming one of the few teams to beat Israel at home.
A victory in Tel Aviv would leave Russia one point ahead of England in group E. As Russia's final group match is against lowly Andorra, most observers would see them as virtually qualified.
If Russia lose in Israel, England need just a draw or victory against Croatia at Wembley on Wednesday to secure their last-minute ticket.
Under-fire McClaren has been given support from most of his players this weeek, and insisted Thursday: "I believe Israel or even Macedonia (against Croatia) will get a result on Saturday which leaves us needing a win to go through. That's what we are training for."
Scotland have not featured at a major championships since their first round exit from the 1998 World Cup, won by the hosts France.
But after stunning Raymond Domenech's 'Bleus' twice in group B, the final group fixture for Alex McLeish's men - against world champions Italy at Hampden - leaves them on the cusp of causing one of the biggest upsets of the year.
A Scotland win would see them through but a draw would leave McLeish still in with a chance of qualifying his men - if Ukraine shock France next Wednesday.
Despite Italy's pedigree, the Scots' swagger is back - and McLeish believes they can stun the reigning world champions, and thus leave 1998 world champions France with a major headache.
"The players are refreshingly confident and have great self belief in their abilities. They have a swagger and there's a cutting edge about them," said McLeish.
Italy need only a draw to ensure they qualify, before their final match at home to the Faroe Islands next Wednesday.
And Italy striker Luca Toni played down claims by France's outspoken manager Raymond Domenech that both teams would play for a draw.
"It would be better if Domenech concentrated on getting his own house in order. There's no way we're going to try and play for a draw so his words mean nothing to us," said Toni.
"We know it's going to be tough in Glasgow and the crowd will be against us, but it's winner takes all and we're very confident in our abilities."
While Croatia, the Czech Republic, Germany and reigning European champions Greece have already qualified, Portugal, Spain, the Netherlands and Sweden have yet to book their tickets.
Spain host an injury-hit Sweden, the group F leaders, in Madrid looking for the win that would qualify them and make up for their 2-0 defeat in Solna and shock 3-2 defeat to Northern Ireland.
A draw between Northern Ireland and Denmark in another crucial group F game would send both Spain and Sweden through regardless of the outcome of their respective last games next week.
Surprise group A leaders Poland will secure qualification with victory over Belgium, although a slip-up by Leo Beenhakker's side could open the door to second placed Portugal, Serbia or Finland.
While Romania have qualified from group G, the Netherlands, in second place, are second in group G, and odds-on to beat Luxembourg.
A win, coupled with a Romania victory over third placed Bulgaria would give the Dutch - who famously missed qualification for the 1964 European Championships after a 2-1 defeat in 1963 by the Duchy - a ticket to their fifth successive Euro.

For me it's just a question which side, England or Russia, will have bigger influence on Israel Federation..... to fight for the British or to surrender in favor of Hiddink's squad.
So, if they choose English side, they'll try to stop the Russians and Israel are capable to give them a hard game, but even then....no guarantee that host will win or sneak with a single point and open the door to England.
Russia will fight till the end in this crucial encounter, and considering the tight relation between Israel and Russian capital, tycoons, together with generally better quality of Russian team, it points out that it will be away win.
Lousy price btw, not worth risking, since nobody knows what option Israel might choose.
Best option for me is Russia to win by one goal, hx @ 3.60 in my local.
Croatia need one point and that's what they will get. Draw in Macedonia will satisfy both sides. @ 3.60 now, but it will drop soon.
Poland is a banker.
Belgium already announced that they will come without three first choice players.
Poland made a 15 minute black out in their last home game while loosing 0-1....and score three easy goals after that.
They'll find the way to celebrate after this game.

I agree with you on Poland , if they win they qualify ,
Portugal, Serbia and Finland can also qualify from this group.
Poland play Serbia on Wednesday.
With Belgium out of the running and Poland don't want to leave the possiblity of qualification to a difficult trip to Serbia.
Finland play Portugal in their final group game, which could be the decider for the other place.
Belgium coach René Vandereycken has responded to a raft of injuries by calling up four new players for the Group A games against Poland and Azerbaijan. Answering the Red Devils' call are KRC Genk goalkeeper Logan Bailly, defenders Philippe Clement and Jelle Van Damme from Club Brugge KV and RSC Anderlecht respectively, and BV Vitesse midfielder Gill Swerts. Vandereycken has been deprived of the services of Timmy Simons, Nicolas Lombaerts, Gaby Mudingayi, Geert De Vlieger, François Sterchele and Wesley Sonck. Midfielder Karel Geraerts remains a fitness doubt.
I've decided to take Poland - 1.25 @1.97 with betfair
My thoughts exactly on the price of russia, the 1/2 available is simply ridiculous...i have slight feeling northern ireland can beat the Danes and are a decent price at home to do so.
Aaeehh? 1.2 on Finland to win? Sure quite possible, we have to win! BUT, giving +2 goals to the azers c`mon... IF we can get through their wall infront of the goal ONCE....... Only one thing, don't know if "they" give a fcuk about this game... anyone?
Croatia need one point and that's what they will get. Draw in Macedonia will satisfy both sides. @ 3.60 now, but it will drop soon.
Croatia need 1 point but will play for 3, this is not Italy
Croatia is class above, very motivated and with their best team while Macedonia plays for nothing and their best player Pandev is missing.
Croatia is very hard to score against, 8 cleen sheets in 10 games.
Croatia @1.70
Croatia to win to nil @2.45
Agree with Charly1 on Macedonia -Croatia game. I am from Macedonia and I will give somme thougts about. First, our president of fudbol federetion give (purpose or without purpose) the corect score in this game 2-2. Second our players in past days give some statemont that they will give all the best for victory, and just before wrote this I watch the press conference and our players now its satisfated with draw. And the third, Croations its simply the beter scuad here, if they will play focused wee will be loss easily, wee made trauma in our country, and in the national team becouse Pandev not play. Yea hi its our best player but comon, wee just beated only Andora home,(with him). I will not push the other people here on draw, becouse I will play only draw in small combo with Estonia-2 and Rusia-2. PS in may local bokie its already 2.50 for draw. Good lock for all!!!
as most of you know I am croatian living in Germany. I am paying yearly fee to croatian satelite television for some years now, to be able to have contact to happenings in my homeland, but most of all I am doing this to be able to watch croatian national team games in peace. Unfortunately RTL-CRoatia (suckers), bought rights for away games and Cro-TV is showing insted of MAz-CRO game, the game Scotland-Italy. I must admit I will enjoy this game.
In past traditionaly, my family and me were always cheering for Italians, as our neighbours, when CRo or before that ex-yu didnt play, but this time I will cheer for scots deep from my hart. I am really impressed with scottish fans and atmosphere they produce. That what I was able to watch, it was just unbelievable. GAme in France, I dont know how many scots were there but it looked like more than home fans.
About game I think that for the scots is important to keep this game close. I can see Italians becoming shaky legs if it is still 0-0 around 60-65 min. I ll try a bit of thos egreta odds offered for home win.
About cro game. Most folks are betting the draw, but I dont think so. I think that MAzedonien will receive small motivational injection from west, but also without that I can see motivated mazedonians to beat us. I think politically, we are friendly countries, but bouth would enjoy winning this game. Fair and sportly. So because all above I think this will be one fair game and that we as a better team will make it clear already in first half.
Rest of the games could be tempted with following Norway, Albania and Ukraine, and would appreciate if someone can share few infos on those games.

About Norway vs. Turkey; I know Norway'S odds seems tasty considering Turkish boys failure in last games against mediocre teams...Coach Terim called some new faces to the squad and some will probably be in the starting line-up...Their performance might be a determinant factor, positively or negatively...Norway could satisfy with a draw but Turkey is a must-win situation..This might be vital for the guests as they are good at the middle-field, but defensively fragile...But the point is that TUrkish team is mentally good at the matches when they are not favouite and not under much pressure -like today's match, they beat Greece at their home ground- ; and bad at the matches when they are favouite against weaker opponents..
I was tempted with over 2.5 bet at first, but after seeing that Norway is a team hard to recieve at home, and considering the questions marks in my mind about forwards of the Turkish team (who will start and how they'll perform) decided to skip it...
A live bet after seeing how Turkey'll perform on the field is my choice...But I can't suggest a big bet on Norway, johnnybgood, cos' Turkey can beat any team when correctly motivated and directed...Norway's game tactics and capabilities are limited and can be locked in the area...
thanks for replay. I am off. Looked a bit deeper and I even start to think that Turkey can nick it. But on the end maybe is the best to live it alone. Went off Albania as well. From those 3 only like Ukraine more and more.
