Re: Euro 2008 Qualifiers: Saturday 2nd Sept

I think Scotland hc looks interesting, but the problem is that I can't find it The scottish defense looks rock solid, but what about the midfield...How creative is it? Is it good enough to destroy Faero Islands?
I predict a three-goal-win.

Re: Euro 2008 Qualifiers: Saturday 2nd Sept

I'm looking at 4/9 for Germany against what is the worst ireland line up I have ever seen , they are truely rubbish now and lack any quality. i think they will get absolutley slaughtered against Germany who must be really looking forward to this fixture . I never bet on Internationals but this is too good to miss. An up and coming team against , well a mediocre CCC type line up

Germany 4/9 (9/10)

PP offer 4/6 on England -3. Seems good value to me. Anyone agree?

Re: Euro 2008 Qualifiers: Saturday 2nd Sept

It might turn out to be different under Watty, but Scotland tend to stink as favourites, certainly such big ones as this. We're at about our highest ebb for nearly a decade but I still fear we'll make heavy weather of the minnows of this group while turning in some brilliant performances against the stronger sides.

I'll do a proper write up tomorrow but at the moment its a swerve for me.

just looking at the odds for anytime goalscorer in the N Ireland v Iceland game.

J Gudjonsson is 10/3 with Paddy Power to score anytime whilst as long as 6/1 with bet365. Ive never heard of him. Just thought i'd mention it

Israel to win in Estonia looking good for me. I have 2.50 on them and if you ask me that's to high. If Macedonia did it few weeks ago then why not Israel. By time odds will be lower I think. Also very good bet is DNB on Israel. Somebody from Estonia or Israel here to give us some infos about this game?

Bus leaves at 9, going to the Renfrew Ferry for this one, bar opens 10.30, 800 people all ticket do, then onto the game.

Off to Lithuania late Monday night as well, well London Monday night, out to Lithuania first thing Tuesday morning

Edit: As for the footy, not fussed about betting this weekend, not keen on international football as a betting proposition. Odds are generally too short and never convinced that form flows as normally as in league/club football. It will be like a weeks holiday from punting for me

Joey Gudjonsson. Didn't he score few "stunners" for Leicester last season. Moved on now, memory says to Holland.

Our bus leaves at 9am also. Pub we go to doesn't open till 11am so we basically have time to go and put the coupon on - maybe a quick pint in one of the other boozers and then into the pub. They usually have Soccer AM on the giant tv screen - get kegged up and then bus picks us up again and takes us to the match.

The sweep that I organise on the bus is now legendary because i usually make a cods ear of it all i have to do this time is to get the names of the Faroe players for 1st Goalscorer but hopefully we won't be paying out on one of them

Baz and Jowb are coming along this time so

Aye, seen Jowb a couple of weeks ago and he said he was going. Course you know that him and Baz will be mongled by about 2pm, no get in the game, get lifted and your bus will have to wait til 10.30pm when they get released......Evs says that will happen

Apologies...missed that Keg.

Was meant to be heading along but I've got a bloody flat viewing instead - one specific block which only has viewings this Saturday, and that put paid to my plans. So its the pub for me for this one - but should be plenty to cheer anyway and hopefully we'll top the group come Saturday night

Still having a look at getting to one of the away games, but given timescales/ticket restrictions then Georgia looks like the only semi-viable option right now, unless I can get my mits on a France or Italy ticket.
