About the game Bulgaria - Slovenia...
About 7000 tickets have been sold till today, so not more than 15-20000 fans will back up the home team. I think that Bulgarian players will need much bigger support tonight. Poor performance for them in Romania, but unbelievable luck for us there... Without Berbatov it becomes even harder, Valeri Bojinov still can't start scoring for the national team. The second GK - Dimitar Ivankov sometimes makes mistakes, he is not reliable enough imo. Hristo Stoichkov has not shown that he is about to become a good coach...Bulgarian squad has not been optimal at all since he is on the rule.
But my hopes are connected with the men from Atletiko Madrid and Celtic- Martin Petrov and Stan. They both could be enough to beat Slovenia. The away team is a mistery for me, I know well their main striker - Novakovich, he is good, but the Bulgarian defense knows him well, too .
Maybe not many goals in Sofia, maybe a hard home win, but I'm still not sure if I would put some money on Bulgaria, and the odds are low for me.
There are many games tonight that look more worthy

If you were bookie, what price would you give for HW , Israel v Andorra or Sweden v Lie ?
Give me @ 1,20 , and it means h1 @ 1,50 and ht/ft 1-1 @ 1,50 or similar, and you'll see my stakes...not only mine.
Don't tell me that Andorra could surprise Israel or anyone...after all their only one victory in Qualification were fixed, vs. Macedonia, if you remember.
Sweden without suspended trio might waste an extra sweat to beat Liechtenstein, but c'mon...Liechtenstein are not Louxembourg, but Sweden are not Disneyland....
Those are competitive, important games and each mistake could have strong effects on final group standings, so it's useless to argue about this sh..y prices, and if you think they're not worth attention,..ok, but don't be so surprised if Israel scores more than England.
And, no...I'm not misleaded by anything, just thinking that Swedish is far more better than their today's opponent, or I'm wrong?
Lithuania is a typical product of east- european- ex -soviet -school, hard nut to crack, especially at their homeground.
Not so much quality, but they're capable to control the ball in a slow, low scoring games.Scotland started well, but vs. Faroe Islands, not such a great result...
I'll be with you, fellow Scottish...chering up for Scotland, but it's no bet game for me.
Both sides could be satisfied with draw, and I expect something like 0-0.
Bosnia, yes.
They might won, and in front of full stadium it looks like most possible outcome.
I remember last WC Qual, when they gave some really hard game to Spain, in a moment when Spaniards were desperate for points.
Hungary will play defensively and it's just a matter of Bosnian attackers skill, will they manage to find the way to the net.
I don't trust them too much either, but carried by the crowd...who knows,
maybe 1-0, 2-1 ?
Romania away at Albania are on my today's list.
It's not easy , and it never was , playing in Albania, but in despite of that fact - Albania has not any valuable result inh past.
Romania is far better team and I expect their win.
Bulgaria manage to pick up one point in Romania, after 0-2, and it might have a positive influence on team.
Slovenia is not well known as away side, this time not in a good shape, lack of creativity...they'll try to avoid the defeat playing cautiosly, but I believe that Bulgarians might score one goal more and successfully finish those opening double.
Big derby for both countries, even bigger that this is not usual match between both countries, that was few years earlier - it was always strong czechs against weak slovaks, but Slovkas are better and better every year and now i think they are really hard to beat. They trashed Cyprus 6:1 on saturday and we had problems to beat Wales with two late goals. But we can forget these two games from staurday, 'cos this game is something different. Stadium is sold out and 30.000 fans will make great atmosphere. Slovaks have few great offensive players like Sebo and Mintal that are in great form and our deffence is really not that good old czech deffence as it was, mainly if Galasek will play - he is really too old for this and he makes big holes in deffence. But our team has still his quality and players like Cech or new captain Rosicky are world class players. And what is more important manager Bruckner finally nominated some new good attackers like Kulic and mainly Lafata that score two goals on saturday.
The pitch on Tehelne pole is horrible (as usualy) so it will be advantage for Slovak players.
This is NO BET for me, because in derby like this is everything possible, i would maybe try OVER 2.5.
Norway welcomes Moldova today, which should be an easy home win, but Norway struggles vs defensive opponents. I expect Moldova to play a defensive 4-5-1 formation or something like that, with 9 men behind the ball most of the time. We will rest the baby face assassin, with Nagoya Grampus Eight (Japan) striker Frode Johnsen stepping in. Not at all Solskjaer-class.
We crushed Hungary totally in Budapest, 4-1 (3-0 at half time) on Saturday, quite an impressive result to be honest . Last minute penalty by Hungary, a highly questionable one, and the ref told norwegian defender Hangeland that the penalty would not have been given if the result was 0-0 (!!). Goals by Solskjaer (2), one by IK Start wonder boy Fredrik Strømstad and a world class goal by Blackburn winger Morten Gamst Pedersen (Van Basten vs Soviet Union 1988-goal). Great match from Norway, but this will be something different. Moldova will not play as naive as Hungary and I will skip the match. A bet on Norway -1,75 is totally out of question.
Russia should be good bet…….
First official game for Guus.
Croatia is without Balaban,Srna and Olic ,they are excluded from the team after spending to much time in the night club.
Odds are already cut …….
First, hi all, I'm kind of new here, I was just watching the conversation inhere for some time now, so I've decided to join with my picks
I must say that I dont agree with igor5, it's tru that Balaban whant play, but he wuldnt play anyway, allso Olic, he will be replaced by Klasnic ( and that is big + not a -), so for Cro only bad thing is Srna not playing, but we have great cover there, Krancar who is now playing for Portsmouth..., be aware that 2 players from defence cant play for Cro duo to red cartons...
Russia is without key player Aleksej Smertin and allso mising Yegor Titov, Dmitri Loskov, Aleksandar Keržakov. Sergeja Ignaševiča might allso not play
Objectly Cro have a beter tim, and if you think Guus can help them in this first game youre wrong, he is there to short to make a miracle.
@4.00 on croatia is huge, and that's my pick.
I played many times against my team Slovenia and had more loses than wins. The slovenian national team is realy f....d up in the moment. There are serious acusations in the media that the players or the national team are being put up by the president of the slovenian FA and some football managers. I think we had more NT players than Brasil in the last two years.
A big problem is also that the players dont trust the coach anymore. So the atmosphere realy sucks. I think that todays team never played a single game togheter. Slovenias main power in the previous years was the friendship between player, that formed a compact and homogen team. Many of todays players even dont know each other.
The odds are set ok. My tip is 5/10 on bulgaria -0,75 @1,9 and 7/10 @1,7 ( intewetten).
haven't haf much time to look around, but i'd go with bosnia & bulgaria to win their respective matches, take it on the AH or fixed odds according to your preference, while scotland look a cracking bet on the lvl AH...that's about all I'm gonna invest in for tonight, good luck!

but I'm still not sure if I would put some money on Bulgaria, and the odds are low for me.
In fact I already did...

Russia has been on my shortlist but finally I will not be on it.
I would not go so far and say Croatia don't have a chance of winning today. I think that missing players from Russia is an issue and that together with pitch condition lead me to the decision to let it go.
Decimated squad
He may have had reason to reassess that judgement in the weeks leading up to Hiddink's competitive debut in the UEFA EURO 2008™ qualifier against Croatia in Group E today. With two first-choice players suspended and a raft more suffering from injuries, Hiddink luck may well be running out. After the 1-0 friendly win against Latvia last month, Hiddink chose to train with his players in private for a week rather than play another friendly on Saturday. It was an attempt to foster more cohesion in his squad although a rash of absences may have made it difficult to forge any kind of structure in the side. Absent stars
Wingers Vladimir Bystrov and Yuri Zhirkov are both banned for the Croatia game while injuries have put paid to playmakers Dmitri Loskov and Yegor Titov, anchorman Aleksei Smertin, striker Aleksandr Kerzhakov and defender Vasili Berezutski. With a shortage of quality defenders already a major issue, Vadim Evseev was called up as a late replacement, but news of an ankle worry for PFC CSKA Moskva centre-back Sergei Ignashevich has brought further gloom. "I hope he plays," said Hiddink. "The team really needs him." Hiddink is doing his best to remain calm. "I have seen a lot in my coaching career," he added. "In this kind of situation the most important thing is not to panic otherwise it will get worse."
Coaching moves
Absences have not been restricted to Hiddink's playing staff in recent days. Assistant coach Aleksandr Borodyuk has been away with the Under-21 side, who won 5-1 against Finland in Turku on Saturday, while goalkeeping coach Rinat Dasaev has left after failing to agree a new contract, leaving Russia's custodians to work unsupervised. To make matters slightly more tense, the venue for today's game against Croatia is not in pristine condition. With the last two games in the recent FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup being played at the Lokomotiv stadium in heavy rain, the pitch has cut up, and pre-match training sessions have been taking place at the Dinamo stadium in order to prevent further deterioration.
'Not a tragedy'
Not that these bad omens have dimmed local excitement. The interest in Moscow is enormous and Hiddink has been at pains to tell success-hungry fans that, in the circumstances, they should not expect too much. "We're talking about one game," he said. "Yes, success in it is very important but even if we don't win we will continue working towards our goal. Losing points would not be a tragedy although I assure you we will do everything to get all three." Hiddink is even more determined to dispel the idea that he has some kind of magic touch. "Don't expect that Russia win all their games now that I am here," he said. "They didn't do it before and nothing has changed in the last two weeks." Should they survive tonight's encounter unscathed, rumours of the coach's miracle-working abilities may prove even harder to silence.
