Ireland B vs Scotland B

No idea if anyone will be interested in this game, but I just got told the odds for both teams and IMO, Scotland are a very good bet tonight.

Last I heard it was 7/5 Ireland and 8/5 Scotland with PaddyPower. I don't know much about the Ireland B squad but the Scotland squad is full of first team players and a couple of full internationalists; squad includes Kris Boyd, Stevie Smith, Charlie Adam (Rangers), Scott Brown, Kevin Thomson, Steven Whittaker, Michael Stewart (Hibs) Andy Webster (Wigan), Lee Miller, Chris Clark (Aberdeen) etc. Far too many for me to name just now as I'm at work.

Full squad can be seen here;

Maybe someone else can find the Irish squad, but from our point of view, that is a very strong B squad and could be well worth the 8/5 IMO.

Will be putting a wager on it myself (patriotic b@st@rd , me ).

Definitely one to check out for yourselves.

Re: Ireland B vs Scotland B

Here's the Irish team for tonight:

Republic of Ireland B: Darren Randolph (Charlton Athletic); Kevin Foley (Luton Town), Paddy McCarthy (Leicester City), Alex Bruce (Ipswich Town), Lewis Emmanuel (Luton Town); Joe Gamble (Cork City), Stephen McPhail (Cardiff City), Darron Gibson (Royal Antwerp), Alan O’Brien (Newcastle United); Andy Keogh (Scunthorpe), Roy O’Donovan (Cork City). Subs: Darren Quigley (UCD), Joe O’Cearuill, Lee Frecklington (Lincoln City), Darren Potter (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Shane Long (Reading), Anthony Stokes (Falkirk), Stephen Hunt (Reading).

Thompson and Maloney have pulled out the Scottish squad which is a blow, but like you say Weegie there's still plenty of talent in there - a lot of exciting players eager to prove they can make the step up.

No idea about the strength of the Irish mob tho(Stokes only makes the bench which might be an indicator).

Re: Ireland B vs Scotland B

Surprised that Stokes only makes the bench tbh, he's been in lethal form for Falklirk of late, possibly worth a wee last scorer bet as he'll probably get on at some point.

Came back on to post about Maloney and Thomson. Knew Maloney had been ruled out but only found out Thomson had withdrawn as well. Still a lot of talent to cover for them though.

Only aware of a few of the Irish lads in that squad, hopefully the Scotland backroom staff are more clued up than me, but still think 8/5 for Scotland is worthy of a bet tonight. Even if I am a wee bit biased.

Remember he played a full 90 mins last night and would have to travel accross there as well so he will be a bit knackered. I'd imagine most of the squad met up last night
