Why not get a contract if its this cheap?

http://www.mobileshop.co.uk/mobile-p...PBTMOBV2200002

£2.99 a month (albeit via cashbacks), 150 cross network minutes, 50 text messages and a half decent phone thrown in. With deals like this around is it worth bothering with pay as you go

Re: Why not get a contract if its this cheap?

Don't understand the bit about cashbacks ?

can anybody explain please ? as it looks like line rental is £27

12 x 27 = 324
minus 177.81 (3 x 59.27)
minus 59.28

equals 86.91
(minus 35.88 12 x 2.99)

works out to 51.03 - where does this go ? = 3 x 17.01 ?

Cause a deal like this would probably suit me - either that or the genie cards from Winrew

deal. The network will give you an automatic discount at the Reduced Price of £9.99 on your monthly bills at months 1, 2 and 3
So its 9 x 27 and 3 x 9.99.

Thanks Odds !

That explains it now. But how easy are these contracts to finish - I know it states 12 months so at the end of the 12 months is it just a case of cancelling it and then sending them the phone back ?

Please excuse my ignorance but i've only every been on pay as you go and have heard of people having probs when they try to cancel.

Ta.

You dont have to send the phone back Big K, you keep it which is why people are always after unlock codes. As for cancelling it you have to give them 30 days notice so after 11 months give them a ring.

Re: Why not get a contract if its this cheap?

I've been on a £20 a month contract with o2 for a few years now. 500 free texts a month, 500 off peak minutes to o2 phones and landlines, 150 off peak minutes to any network and 500 wap minutes. Oh and a bloody expensive phone every year thrown in. I don't use any of it either.

Anybody wanna be my text pal? I can phone you up when I'm drunk too.

Are you on o2 kegman? I have to confess to being utterly confused with it myself. When I first signed up it was all about WAP minutes but now it seems to be per mb. I did look into it a few months back but as I don't download anything I just forgot about it.

Re: Why not get a contract if its this cheap?

If you're on o2, I got a quite vague message from them not long ago saying something like they'd been letting folk use WAP free of charge for a certain time yadda yadda - I'm very sorry I didn't really pay attention as it didn't seem to apply to me.
