Re: F1 07/08

Hi jackierubberleg.

From F1.com

"Welcome to race day at the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve, and the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal. The sun is already out and conditions will be perfect for racing, with an ambient temperature high between 23 and 24 degrees Celsius and light cloud."

Re: F1 07/08

Hats off to Lewis - what a beaut!

Forget what i said bout Kubica, i hope he is ok. Heidfield was superb today and if you can get him without big 4 next week at Evens i will bite your hand off.

Raikonnen poor again today? I m not sure what is wrong with him.

Massa black flagged as well.

Cracking race - bring on US!!

Re: F1 07/08

Yeah it was a beauty. With 8 or 9 laps to go I was swearing about all the saftey cars cos I needed Wurz to beat Schumacher but it looked as if Wurz had to pit again then I realised he didnt. That was a masterstroke by his team, they gambled that there would me more trouble after the first saftey car and it worked well, he was the only person who adapted and went one stop.

Hamilton was excellent, having to start again after building a lead again and again must have been tough. At the end I was really cheering Sato on to get by Alonso, I like Alonso but Sato has some balls on him. Cracking race all round.

I think they said Kubica had a broken leg which when you see the crash is probably a good result.

Yeah he ll take that looking at that crash. Good point about Wurz, inspired by Williams.

We'll plot up on the US one if your keen.

That race went OK for me, lot better in Monaco but i hadn't had a winning bet this month untill that Hamilton bet. I love Expekt!

When I saw that he hit the wall not far off square on I feared he'd done himself some serious mischief, so the fact that the latest reports are suggesting 'suffered concussion and a sprained right ankle' is testament to the all the safety developments of the last few years. Might even race next weekend

US GP

I've had a few bets. Here they are.

Will discuss them and the race after qualifying.

Heidfield points 4/9 Boyles - 9 points
Heidfield podium 4/1 Betfred - 1 point
Alonso Win 13/8 Betfred - 4 points

Come on Lewis!!

Re: F1 07/08

Looks like another intresting race and theres really not much times from qualifing between around 8-16th. Like Canada this circuit has some walls and there is plenty of saftey car potential plus I am sure it was last year there was some fun right at the first corner.

Looks like another Mclaren 1-2 with Ferrari in behind, then Hiedfeld, I cant see the top 5 changing much. However after that anything could happen and I am struggling to find a match bet I have any confidence in

Trulli to beat Kovalainen 2.2 @ ladbrokes
Trulli is good round this track. 4th from 22nd on the grid last year, didnt race the year before, 4th from 20th in 2004, 4th from 10th in 2003 and 5th from 8th in 2002. Those stats arent quite as good as they first appear as a lot of those races have had low amounts of finishers due to accidents but Mr Consistent does get it round. I had a look at Trulli to finish in the points as well which is everywhere at 2.20.

Luizzi to be classified No 1.9 @ expect
I dont know how to work out if this is a good price or not. Hes finished 2 GPs so far, Malaysia and Australia the first two. He has retired from the last two as he crashed and the two before with Hydraulic problems. With the potential for accidents here and the fact that he is in the middle of the last little pack (starts 19th) then if there is an incident in the middle of the pack he could certainly get involved. Not sure about this one.

Still looking about...

Re: F1 07/08

I really cant find much to intrest me. I have had a stupid bet on Ladbrokes, straight tricast Hamilton/Alonso/Massa pays 5.5. Bit of a daft bet really but I fancy Hamilton to beat Alonso and Raikonnen still doesnt look fast enough. Could take the 1.8 on Hamilton to beat Alonso but that would be too easy :P
