I've took Raikkonen to win Suzuka , 6.20 @ betfair ... I believe he could make profit from Hamilton - Alonso fight ...

Re: F1 07/08

I am tempted to back Hamilton to win the race tommorow. You can get nearly 2/1 which considering his record from pole is enough on its own. I reckon the price is so big because he doesnt have to win, he just needs to get it home in front of Alonso. Add to this the fact it will most likely rain and 2/1 doesnt look so attractive, I still think its a decent bet though. Yes, he doesnt have to win the race but the easiest way to ensure he beats Alonso is to just head off into the distance from the start. Tempting but due to the predicted rain I think I'll leave it.

From bet356
Group 2
Jarno Trulli 2.25
Vitantonio Liuzzi 3.25
Sebastian Vettel 4.00
Rubens Barrichello 7.50

Starting 13th, 11th, 12th and 17th in the order above. Trulli price seems a bit odd as although hes a good driver he has been out of form recently, I suppose the price can be based on the fact his teammate Schumacher qualified in 6th. Shock result for Ralf. Hes leaving Toyota (aye right, save face mate before yer fired) and it doesnt look good for him getting a seat anywhere next year. Most likely he'll crash into a few folk out of the blue and then blame them. Trulli has really been struggling recently. Barrichello all the way back in 17th again his teammate Button qualified in 10th, great result for him and he really is carrying the shit heap of a car that he has and has fuelled it to the max for tommorow in the hope of picking up a point or two, plus Button is great in the rain. Barrichello has been a bit off recently as well, I dont fancy him from all the way back there. That leaves Liuzzi and Vettel. I have been really impressed with Vettel, it was a real shame in the last race when he crashed and he was in tears after it. Although he made a mistake in the wet last time he showed real class up to that point and was going really well in very nasty conditions. He only has to pass one person in this group to win and although Liuzzi looks promising, he seems a bit erratic and unpredictable. I fancy Vittel can beat him. With a high possibility of rain it adds an element thats pretty hard to predict but I think if it rains Vettel has an advantage in this group and I think 4.00 is worth a pop. Far from a certainity but it looks value to me.

2 pts Vettel to win group 2.

Winners: 9/15

I didnt see the qualifing yesterday so have been reading up on some reports. Intresting exchange in the press conference between Hamilton and a journalist.
From F1.com

Q: (Anne Giuntini – L’Equipe) For Lewis. For everybody it is evident that twice you disturbed Kimi. Is everything good to become a world champion?
LH:
To be honest there is no reason for me to do anything to Kimi because if anything he can win… (inaudible from the audience)
LH: Well, I came out of the pits and the guys said that, obviously, because Fernando was behind me and I could not hold him up in the pits… So I came out of the pit lane and they said you will come out close to Kimi and I came out and when you are at that sort of speed your mirrors are vibrating and so you cannot see too much and then I realised that he was very, very close and so I slowed down and I noticed I can’t attack the corner like he was, so I backed out and he went past me.
Q: (Anne Giuntini – L’Equipe) ...You never showed him clearly that you would give him the track free?
LH:
What do you want me to do? Put the indicator on?
Q: (Anne Giuntini – L’Equipe) You know exactly...
LH:
I did the best job I could to get out of the way. And I did apologise to him if I did get in his way.
Q: (Anne Giuntini – L’Equipe) Is that what you call the best job?
LH:
Yes.
Q: (Anne Giuntini – L’Equipe) As a sportsman?
LH:
Yes, how are you at your job? Are you the best at your job? You have never made mistakes… No?
Q: (Anne Giuntini – L’Equipe) Sometimes…
LH:
Oh really.

and then at the end.

Q: (Ian Parkes – The Press Association) Lewis, just to clarify after the ridiculous exchange that you just had, do you feel that you did an absolutely honest job today and if you win the world title do you feel that you will do so honestly?
LH:
Yes, I do. For sure I am going to be accused of something, but honestly I am here this weekend and I need to do a completely clean job and that means just getting up and doing a good job and not making mistakes and not being investigated for some things and that is what we are trying to do as a team and myself and if anything Kimi can win this and that would be good for us and obviously it would be good to beat him but I have most of all got to beat Fernando. But I honestly came in afterwards and he mentioned that and I said I apologised if I got in your way but you know I honestly did not think he was that close behind me, so I was going to take the corner but I really would have screwed his lap, so I moved over and I stayed where I was and braked and I don’t feel I have hindered his lap as I did get out of the way.

Q: (Anne Giuntini – L’Equipe) Let us continue the ridiculous exchange… Do you think you can do everything you want and then you just apologise – is that the way it works in Formula One?
LH:
I’m not going to answer that.
Q: (inaudible)
LH:
Not really, I just don’t want to talk to you to be honest.

I didnt see it but from the report I heard Hamilton was between holding up Kimi and having Alonso right behind him but nice way to treat a guy who is on the verge of winning the championship, outright heckling, amusing though.

Looking about I cant see much worth punting on, its very tight at the front and as much I want to see Hamilton win this its pretty tough to predict the outcome. The only semi attractive bet I could find is Heidfeld without the big 4 2.1 @ Bet365. Starts in 5th behind Webber and has a great chance to finish 5th I should think. I am not going to have a bet just going to watch the race and hope Hamilton finishes ahead of Alonso.

It'll be interesting so see if once Alonso doesnt look like winning the championship whether he'll mov eover if need be and give Hamilton a place if it means he can win the title as you can gurantee Massa will do it for Rakkinen.

Re: F1 07/08

Another pit stop for Hamilton, well thats fcuked it , what a load of tits Mclaren are aswell as Hamilton.

we can put his error down to youthfull exuberance but theres no excuse for Mclaren not bunging in more fuel on that 2nd pitstop.

Yes, the Hamilton cock up at the beginning didn't cost him, it was the gear box and re-fueling that cost him.

Re: F1 07/08

Kimi Raikkonen's world title has been thrown into doubt following an inquiry into the cars of BMW Sauber and Williams at the Brazilian Grand Prix.

Race stewards are investigating alleged irregularites with the cars' fuel.
Williams's Nico Rosberg was fourth in the race, followed by BMW Sauber's Robert Kubica and Nick Heidfeld. If they were disqualified, McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton would be promoted to fourth, giving him enough points to displace Raikkonen as world champion
