Another QQ hand.....you make the play

3/6 NL this is (I have no idea why the HH says 6/12 but it is actually 3/6 NL)

I open UTG+1 with QQ but get minraised back preflop from a deep stack, I call and take a flop..........he leads 200 into a pot of 140 now what?

Who raised there?

I've gone for option D there Jezza. In my limited experience of poker there's too many hands that'll beat you. AA, KK or AJ with a possibility of a flush draw??? What was the player like prior to the hand in question?

Hmmmmmmmmm thats a good question AMP we had had a good bit of history at the table playing 2 large pots


In one I passed KK in a 370 dollar pot on the flop 9 6 3 rainbow when he CR me all in for another 400 (He mucked but I put him on a set....cant be sure tho of course)

In another I caught him bluffing when I RR preflop with two black QQ funnily enough. The flop of K J 7 all diamonds was very ugly but I caught him at it when he bet 100 into a 200 pot on the turn which I called. He check/mucked the river and my QQ won.

This hand ive put up just now happened about 20mins after the other QQ hand

I cant see how he can possibly have a J with the preflop minimum raise.

Its tricky this but I am pushing here, I dont think he has a J and if he has KK or AA then I am going broke.

If you push after raising preflop and calling his rereaise then if I was him I would be thinking possible hands you have are AJ, 88, J10, AA, KK, QQ, JJ, 1010 maybe some smalller pocket pairs as well. Unless he has JJ or AJ this isnt going to be an easy call even with AA or KK as AJ is something you could defintely be holding.

That min raise(ish) from the SB play is either a good pair or AK 95% of the time imo. The less min raise it is the bigger the hand is Muses rule

But nah its anywhere AA-1010 or AK is the general read that I have to go by. The bigger hand the more likely, so AA, KK, AK, JJ, 1010 in that order id go. Well rule out QQ cos we have it.

Flop - obv the Jacks havent helped him one bit and we can rule out JJ. So now were down to is it AA, KK, AK or 1010? 50% oui have beat, 50% oui do not as we say in France.

All we have to go on to givuzaclue is betsize and its $200 into $150. This is a leeetle bit suspicious. As were 50/50 and it looks suspicious (and in a wtf you doin that for thats a bit weird way) id be inclined to raise him all in and not give an AK a chance to draw out plus just incase he might have the club flush poss with it, best to raise and get it in now.

Very tough one though cos the first thing I think of when minraised like that preflop is AA I tell you if he bets $100-$150 id fold tbh but as it is I bite the bullet and if he has AA or KK we get a river Q anyway imo

I think i'd be folding there mate. It looks to me like Kings or Aces are the more likely of all his possible hands.

This hand was a tough decision, a lot of the time here with a minreraise preflop you will find yourself against AA and KK. His bet did make me wonder tho. He surely knew I had a good pocket pair or AK and this flop seems ridiculously safe (barring me having AK clubs I suppose) for his AA versus my range if that is indeed what he had. You would think he would want to bet strong but not so ridiculously strong that I folded. Seeing as his bet was quite a large amount over the potsize I was really beginning to be curious as to what he had. Ultimately I used all my time bank thinking about it, and pushed all in. This was met with an instant call (urgh I physically cringed in my seat when that happened!)FLOP [board cards JD,8C,JC ]
