Well this was a very tough decision. When he flat called the flop and checked the turn I put him on a slowplay, which in this case is probably a 4. Hence I went for the check-raise on the river. However when he comes back with the ridiculous overbet all in I have to worry about my hand. 9/10 times in this situation if you call you will see a full house. Any decent player who 3 bets all in on a paired board showing a straight/flush will almost always have the FH, ESPECIALLY if it is a huge overbet to the size of the pot. The check on the turn and flat call on the flop also adds weight to this thinking. I agree with Jaysym in that if you called this bet from every player your straight would be quite a major long term loser. However we can use a bit of opponent-dependant thinking here. Just a few hands ago (as I told you guys in the original post) he made another ridiculous overbet all in when he had minreraised preflop. I think it was approx 200 into 20 on a flop of 767. This was a real stupid move from him as only better hands are calling him and no worse ones are paying him off. It just smacked to me of someone who completely overvalued their hands, and in the classic case of the bad poker player, gave no thought to what the other player might have. For this reason alone I decided to call given that he could well be overvaluing his 4 and not see that I could well have a straight (what possible hands could I be raising with here!). I was not too enamoured with it as there is still a chance of a FH and he will show up with one a decent % of the time here but given that I know he overvalued hands I stomached it and called.....
Nothing could prepare me for what I saw next tho!

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
Unfortunately he left after this hand. If there was a buddy list on crypto this would be insta-buddylist time

. This is a classic case of someone overvaluing their hands. To everyone on here that plays tournaments and feels like an occasionally venture into the cash games sometimes I would have to warn you against this. DONT overvalue your 1 pair type hands unless you can put your opponent square on a draw (or the top pair if you hold an overpair) - this is death in cash games and the better players will eat you up.
