Card Counting Experiences

Hello ive spent part of my time the last 2 weeks learning how to do this instructed by a few MIT videos. Im getting pretty fast and hopefully in a few more weeks i can get a chance to go out and try it. Does anyone do any Blackjack card counting and how easy is it to get away with these days days especially in the UK? I watched Lucky Shoe film too and it seems that card counters dont get the credit they deserve and are treated like scum. Have you any experiences of this and is card counting at blackjack still a viable option to make money?

I think you've just wasted 2 weeks of your life! Most UK casinos these days have continuous card shuffling machines so card counting is meaningless as the used cards keep getting returned to the machine and shuffled.

Card counting really only works well when 1 or 2 decks are used. UK casinos that don't use shuffle machines all use a minimum or 6 decks and the cutcard cuts out at least a 1/3rd of the shoe.

I once sat alongside a perfect cardcounter in a casino in Budapest. He lost and I won.

thanks tb. I thought it would be better to know now than later. I don't mind the experience i had as the thoughts and dreams of being part of some Card Counting Crew brightened up my sad little life. Im just glad i know the fuller story now. It did seem a little hit and miss in the USA and with the Brits way of doing things i think i can just happily give up on the whole blackjack romance. It was the sexy ladies in that video that made me want to do it.
