Anyone here play much blackjack?

I'm going to a casino tomorrow night so I've been reading up on it. Been staring at strategy charts for awhile now and played a few hundred hands on a strategy trainer. Looks like I hit too often when I should be standing.

I'm still pretty ignorant of the finer points of the game. Anyone got any tips that'll help me out or even just some good stories?
Does anyone know what variation of the rules is played in Dundee casino?

Aye pistol. Make sure you learn basic strategy by heart, you will lose less quickly this way. Also ignore any chinese people shouting at you when you take cards when they don't want you to.....when this happens I would just blow blow smoke in their face and annoy them but as you can't smoke anywhere now you might have to come up with something different. I also asked one chinese guy how to say fuck off in chinese for this kinda purpose, you might wanna do that also. OK rules last time I played and most likely are..... 6 decks, double 9,10,11 only, european no hole card, double after splits, infinite resplits, no splits of 4s,5s,10s (you would only every split 4s v 5 or 6 anyway), stand soft 17, no surrender (no football jokes please)

It will generate a basic strategy card for you for all the different rule variations you will encounter. Whack those rules in and you will get the charts. Actuall here you go I did it for you....

That's an awesome site, I've been playing the strategy trainer on there and I'm definitely learning. I'll keep looking at those charts and i'll throw up a thread to tell everyone how we get on.

Excellent reply by alien, not much else to add but here is a link to maybe an easier to read table that is the correct strategy for UK blackjack

The most important thing to note is that almost all of the literature/tables you will see will be for american/rest of world blackjack. These are WRONG for UK blackjack (most notably for 88 v A and 10) because over here you do not know that the dealer does not have a BJ unlike when they have a hole card ala america. If you take a browse around the rest of the wizs site it has good advice for every other game you will find in a casino.

The Casino night was awesome. I ended up even for the night with my profit from blackjack covering the losses I made at poker and roulette. Was actually going along very nicely at blackjack until those two tits cottened on to a good thing and started backing me on each hand. The minute they lumped their money on me it all went pear shaped and the blackjack Gods frowned upon or cock sureness. I tried to stick to the strategy as strictly as possible apart from when my spidey sense was tingling, but that's half the fun.

Raisin pwnd at the poker and made the money in both of the sit and go's he played. Meanwhile, the gambler in Beanie was lured in by the roulette wheel. Well, he was actually hiding from a big fella he pissed off at the poker tables

He had a good run at the roulette but I'll let him post about his precious black 26.

So Raisin and Beanie finished up and I finished level. I'm gonna call that 3-0 to us .

I didn't just end up 'in the money' I won both my STTs!!!!

Well... I was chip leader in both and ended up splitting the 1st and 2nd prizes cause it was taking forever to finish the games. But I still count that as winning.
