1/1 > 1/2 > 1/3 > 1/4

Another shot at MITK's phase strategy with the evens shot added in first. Starting with (frankly crazy) £2 starting stakes, the plan is to keep as many going as possible through the 4 phases. 1 correct after the four returns my stake though, and with the different prices and various pots on the go at once, it's a nice diversion.

£2 A) Back Ajax HT/FT @ 2.1
£2 B) Lay PSV HT/FT @ 1.93
£2 C) Back Chelsea when 0-0 58" @ 2.02
£2 D) Lay Valencia @ 1.89
£2 E) Lay Under 2.5 Lazio game @ 1.87

Thanks MITK, but you know what, I think I might actually be heading towards a clean sweep of fuck ups!

Re: 1/1 > 1/2 > 1/3 > 1/4

Much better to stick to the 1/2 starting point Jomo imo , as the majority of 1/2s in match bets win , hence the odds of 1/2 .............Then it gets easier until the next 1/2 comes up again .

I just like to play when the odds arein my favour compared to betfairs current markets on the horses . 9/10 They are bob on . You look at bet365s markets on every horse race , match bets , they usually start off at say 5/6 each of 2 , yet on Betfair one may be 3.5 and the other 4.9, now im not saying back the 3.5 blindly every time in the match bet at 5/6 ,as they will lose like any other bet , but if your selective you`ll win a lot more than you lose and will be ahead in the long run .

They often dont react to the market movements quickly either and very often will go 4/6 horse A 11/10 horse B , when over at Betfair horse A is say 5.5 and horse B is 4.5 ,which imo is a rick and has to be taken

Re: 1/1 > 1/2 > 1/3 > 1/4

The main reason for my complete bomb was that I just didn't really bother looking for the right bets MITK. Obviously it's easier starting with 1.5s, and there are probably more nice priced ones of those going about than the evens shots, which, if you're betting fairly blindly, are just that.

I just like a bit of variation - have some small bets on bigger prices for peanuts which won't hurt if, sorry, when, they lose.

The one where I started with 2/1 shots went ok, but I was looking for decent bets in that one. And the lesson is...
