Good one I thought R2R was the home of "mad betting, doomed to fail" threads

I take your point and I am serious about the $10 a day concept but as I spend over 15 hours a week on researching my "staple" bets and bet 4 figures a month I consider this thread to be a bit of fun. Also, it gives me a chance to follow other people's tips and go around the forums, which isn't a bad past time. If I just "stuck to what I knew" MITK I'd be betting on NL all the time and where's the fun in that when your looking at NL related screens day in day out all season??!!!

If you've ever read any of my tips (and FYI anlysis shouldn't really be in the R@R forums, to help other members it should be in the relevant threads ) wrt analysis you can see why I'd want a break from writing.

Back to the mug punting then.....

Was away yesterday at a party and it's typical as I was gonna lay Stafford.

Oxford won 1-0 as mentioned. Thanks to the Scots boys for this next bet:

$20 Motherwell to beat QP

Think you are gonna reach the target mate at the end of the month.
Good luck .

I can see a thread named "Gimme 20 pounds a day" coming our way. Next month that is.

Re: Give me 10 pounds a day!!!!!

Thanks Gaililee though I'm not too optimistic!

At the moment I'm just trying to work out the right type of bets to do. For example, I think the $10 a day will be a lot easier when there's $50 of profit and you can start to look at backing 1/5 shots and laying teams. Still, one wrong result and it could all go wrong so it's a case of one bet at a time at the moment...

Re: Give me 10 pounds a day!!!!!

Would you like me to post some odds on making it or not so people could have a go?

To be honest, I though that the 30 pounds lay of West Ham - Newcastle's 4 or more was the way to go thereon but not sure about it.

Still, I believe I read earlier this season that you went full-time @ betting and if that's accurate it's a brave decision mate. Just took the same decision myself and although time available has increased greatly, I have to admit I'm a bit stressed with the whole think going OK.

Re: Give me 10 pounds a day!!!!!

AMP ive copied your method of making ten pounds a day.

Tuesday i had portsmouth, everton, norwich and bolton just for a quid. that made me my tenner, then yesterday i had dirk kuyt to score first (as well as liverpool to win 2-0 as a double but thts a separate bet) so that made me a tenner at 5/1. Today i am going to take R.O'Sullivan to beat Ken Doherty at evens. £10 on hopefully that will win me a tenner. than tomorrow i am going to pick £10 on leeds rhinos minus 12 aswell as the ryder cup a pound on each of darren clarke top european points scorer at 12s and phil mickleson top american points scorer ( not sure of odds) probably about 6s. so hopefully make £20 then again £10 on salford rugby league +12 evens again make ten pound then and then look for a bet on sunday what do u think of those bets?

Need to bring some structure back to this thread.

Profit after Oxford: 17.73
Motherwell won @ 1.52 so $9.90 after commision.

Therefore new total is 27.63

1 week has gone. I should be at $50 to be on target so as you can see I'm some way off that. Still in profit so chin up AMP.

The bet for today is:

Roman League 1 - Rapid Bucharest (-1.5) v Arges at 2.03 $10

EDIT - Roman league. After eventing a bit there..Should ofcourse be "Romanian League". Dickhead.

Re: Give me 10 pounds a day!!!!!

Gaililee,

"Full time-betting" is a bit of a misnoymer (sp? -heh heh good pun though). More like "unemployed". Yeah, I'd like to get into the laying business but with sums of $50 or less it's difficult. Plus on days like Thursday it's a bit of a minefield for punters as there's not much on. I will go back to that on Fri/Sat/Sun and hopefully the Monday game.

I have more time right now to research my bets and a tailor made site to help me yet my yield is a lot worse than last season. Still, last season was also one of fluctuating profits and I made a loss for the first 6 weeks. That's why I'd like to do something on the side to get a modest amount coming in regularly, Sounds easier than it is but I'll give it a go.

K33nan. I think you're a very brave individual. Don't know much apart from football so can't comment on the bets. I notice however you're going for the odds against ones and it'd be great if those golf ones came in then you'd have some profit to play with. I'll look for the results of your bets as I'd like to be able to consider some other sports for this madness.

May the force be with us.

Re: Give me 10 pounds a day!!!!!

Good Start at the moment AMP last three days i've made a tenner, did u follow the R.O'Sullivan selection 10/11, Today i have Leeds Rhinos to win -12 but u can get it at -10 at 10/11 at one firm. I also have the ryder cup selections D.Clarke to win top europe points scorer, mickleson to be top us points scorer not got a chance really of them noth winning cos they are playing each other but hopefully one will win and then do great in the tournament and get me that ten pound.

Re: Give me 10 pounds a day!!!!!

You go for it k33nan and stick up a running total for me to chase.

I've been at a theme park all day. "The Enchanted Kingdom" I'm reverting to wearing cartoon character outfits to get that magical tenner

Only joking, though the roller coaster was good. So I haven't had time to check out the Rhinos.

What I am doing is laying Cambridge @ 3.15 to win a tenner.

That Rapid Bucharest bet went down as they only won 2-1 so I'll update my meagre total in the morning but I'm coming out blazing tomorrow and going to looking at 5 days in the day.

GL with your bets K33nan.

Re: Give me 10 pounds a day!!!!!

Well, this is turning into a "Longest Consecutive Losers" thread for me so you'd be well advised to start your own thread now K33nan.

Cambridge got their 2 win in 11 to scupper my lay.

Harleem couldn't beat a depleted side so both of those went down to leave me with a loss.

But it's Saturday. It's time for SWWYN. It's time for AMP's Saturday Super Seven:

7 bets. 4 lays. 2 overs and a treble. Let's do it:

The lays:

FGR backers stake $15 @ 5.2
Dagenham backers stake $15 @ 2.14
Woking " " $10 @ 2.5
Altrincham $10 @ 2.3

The overs:

Stafford / Oxford $8.53 (dregs of Stan James account)
Woking / Rushden $10

The Treble:

Villa / Hibs / Berwick $10

Re: Give me 10 pounds a day!!!!!

After only winning twenty pounds last week, im going to go to double my winnings this week. After two losers last week and 4 winners hopefully have another good start to the week.

My two selections for today are:
  • Kylkenny to win the 4.10 Hamilton 6/1 £1.50
  • Portsmouth to win against Bolton evens £8.50
How about you AMP what are your tips?
