A to Z (well W) of betting

Going to have a bet on every market on Betfair, starting at A (American Footy first) ending up with Winter Sports. May have to skip a market if there are no bets on but the task wont be complete until all markets have been bet upon.

I'm only doing the main market, not the sub catagories, that would be silly! Starting off small and I'll probably end up taking massive favourites as most of them, I know nothing about,.

Starting with Bandy (whatever it is) Waiting till the weekend for NFL and no Aussie rules on atm

Bet 1. Bandy £10 on Sabdvikens to beat Falu at 1.34.

Loving the idea and good luck to you mate

Are you just going to keep rolling the money over for each bet?

Re: A to Z (well W) of betting

Probably not, I may just bet a tenner each time to be honest, I will see how I feel. The trouble is that I don't even know what a few of the catagories are yet alone know anything about them. I may do but I don't want to go bust in doing it. I may have to do some catagories out of order too due to when events are on. There's the BAPT Poker event on at the moment, but the next poker thing may not be until the WSOP next year so I may take it in now. I'll try and start at the top and work my way down though rather than jump about.

Re: A to Z (well W) of betting

This isn't going to be easy to do this in order and I can't stick all the winnings on the next bet because I may not have any money for months. For example, the next darts event is the PDC and it doesn't start till December. So it's any order from now on and in 3 months, my 3 monthly statement on Betfair will show bets for all the markets Betfair offer.

Other bets so far are

Specials - Myleene Klass to win IACGMOOH £5 @ 9.4
Darts - Phil Taylor to win PDC - £3 at 1.8 (there was only £3 available!)
Tennis - Davydenko v Blake - Davy to win £10 at 1.19 inplay

Football, well I bet on footy all the time so that's included already.

Edit: tennis not looking so good now. Now I remember why I stopped betting on tennis

You already had a "B" with the bandy. How did your bandy bet get on, by the way (I wouldn't even know where to start looking for the results ).

Edit - Hang on, misunderstood the concept slightly - I'd thought you were just doing one bet for each letter of the alphabet, my mistake

Re: A to Z (well W) of betting

No worries Yep one bet per category. The bandy bet won. I only know because it showed in my account though, I don't even know what bandy is - sounds like it's some hockey form of game to me but I could be miles out.

My plans of showing a 3 month statement are 99% out the window. Aussie Rules doens't kick off till the end of March. Unless there is some other match, I can't complete before then. Should have started around February time I guess, then I could get the winter and summer sports in.
Nevermind, we'll see how it goes, I can always do it again.

Re: A to Z (well W) of betting

Cricket - Aus v Eng - 1st Test - Lay Australia for £10 @ 1.48
Volleyball - Cuba v Greece £3 on Cuba at 1.3 (I know it's cheap but what do I know about volleyball! - the lack of money bet on these events makes them small bets only for me)
Rugby League -Tri Nations 2006 - Winner £5 on Australia at 1.3

Re: A to Z (well W) of betting

Bandy is basically hockey played on ice.

It is 11 a side played outdoors on a rink about the size of a hockey pitch

Cheers

I did actually find a bit about it out. Looks good fun to me, wouldn't mind watching a game one day

Re: A to Z (well W) of betting

Nice chance for an A tonight in the American Football... Dallas @ 1.2 is tempting me.

Keep up the good work!
