Re: Rugby Union, France, Top 14.
My fault reds, I was not very clear with my Q.
Yes , I am on about the actual teams.
Tls pulled a fast one last week so I want to know who travelled to Perpignan. I do believe that USAP will want to get an offensive bonus & in view of whats up on the net Toulouse will get hammered.
But that said, you don't get into the Toulouse machine, whatever the level, if you are no good. I am not for a moment suggesting that a collection of 3rd string Toulousains can hope to beat an almost full strength Usap, but 26 points? I hate h-caps anyway but thats all we've got.
By the way, could you let me know if the rugbyrama link below brings you to a french language version of Eurosport?
Cheers.

Re: Rugby Union, France, Top 14.
Forgot to add, it may be true (team selection).
There is no love lost between Noves & the league and in particular between Noves & Blanco.
USAP win with bonus will put the final nail in the coffin of BO's hopes.
God I hate these end of season games

Re: Rugby Union, France, Top 14.
I've taken Toulouse +30. The players won't be muppets and Perpignan have played last Friday and do so again this Saturday - I think they'll be happy to grab the 5 points and get on to more important matters without getting any injuries.

Re: Rugby Union, France, Top 14.
Half- time : 5-3
And we can't blame the weather, its a balmy end of spring night down Perpignan way!
I have only seen the last 15 minutes & frankly the Catalans could cover the h-cap yet.
But that said, from the little bit I've seen only Candelon is doing anything for USAP, Tulagi is getting creamed & double teamed and the Toulouse 8 is playing a stormer!. If he was not there they would be losing every scrum ball.
Courrent is doing a good job for toulouse as is Bezy.
Brunel's team talk & the stamina of these young toulousain guns will decide the result.
As is USAP will be booed off the pitch if they don't improve, & Toulouse can look to a comfortable future.
I am not aware of any team that can send out a 3rd string of such quality.
Perfect result would see reds getting his -26 while the Doc & myself get our +30!
GL to all.

Both should win their last games over Auch & Albi.
Then I started looking at stats. etc (bad move ).
Montauban's Fortassin is the one of the best (kickers) in the league and he's not their only option....Montpelier have one of the worst disciplinary records. Montauban have'nt scored a try in an age but don't concede that many either.
Av win/loss pts margin etc etc etc
I could go on & on but would end up chasing my tail
Montauban to win would not be a total surprise to me but I have to take home adv in to a/c.
Montpellier: win 4/9 Boylesports/Ladbrokes 10pts
Montpellier: -6 10/11 Ladbrokes 4pts

Re: Rugby Union, France, Top 14.
Mountaban away record is terrible whwn compared to their home one. Remember when we were all backing them away to Toulouse with the handicap and they got trounced, I believe the away game before that they lost to Dax.
Montpellier for me on both

Re: Rugby Union, France, Top 14.
9-0 at HT
Montpellier doing most of the running but poor judgement & indiscipline keep Montauban in the game. Montauban could have got at least a score.
Didier is giving them a right bollicking as we speak I'm sure.
Montauban might get a breakaway try but only Montpellier can lose this game, Montauban have not got the ness. to win.
If you know what I mean .
