Mmmmm. Infact cancel that. Everything I've read in the last half hour makes me think SD have a very realistic shot here - and given that they've won me plenty £££ so far I don't fancy spunking any moolah on them in the last week.

Let's do a quick recap:

Why SD could win:

1) Louis(Sharon O basically gave Steve B the win with her negative comments, and Louis is even more disliked than her)

2) Good duet with Donovan...candles, children, the works. Meanwhile Leon tries not to look like a little boy alongside Kylie.

3) Good Xmas song.

4) High School Musical song - an absolutely massive hit with children - song one of the most popular ever on youtube.

5) The emotional vote - could be with them after Sarah's tears last week and Niki's exit.

6) Rhydian's career is almost guaranteed anyway - doesnt need to win so much.

7) Leon cant sing.

8) Cowell is onside, and should give them a good ramp during the final.

9) Leon and Rhydian's performances are a little one paced - SD's cheesy pop has a monopoly on a fairly big chunk of the voting demographic.

10) Leon and Rhyd have had a bit of a rivalry developing of late. Neither prospers in that kind of situation.

11) Rhyd and Leon could split the usually bi 'young male' vote.

12) When push comes to shove, the British public do love a bit of cheese, as much as most dismiss it.

13) Have had more of a 'journey' than Rhyd.

14) Steps are no more. S Club are no more - genuine gap in the market. Same cant be said for the other two.

Blah blah blah, you get the picture. Might do the other two later, probably won't, go on SD!

Well my viewing of the X Factor over the past 3 weeks or so has been a bit sporadic to say the least due to various other commitments, and this will go for tonight as well..However it would not be unreasonable to say that this series has been like a licence to print money for me

However, due to my absences I just don't have great confidence with any bet tonight..I was tempted to plunge on Rhyd at 1.49 before last week's show, and although I can see the logic in him being favourite, 2/5 isnt a great price, bearing in mind Beanie's excellent comments above which may well tempt me also to back Leon to be the next elimination with Boylesport at evens..

I will revisit this no doubt...

I'm gonna leave it at that - I've got SD a bigger winner than Leon in the outright market, and a wee bit on them in the outrights, so thats enough riding on this one.

I think it could be an interesting night - Rhyd deserves to win, but maybe one more twist left?

Whatever, it's been a cracking series and will pay for a nice Xmas - great money made by all on this thread I think, with your 33/1 the standout trick. COME ON SD!!!!

I havent been folowing this but everyday either at work, radio or what ever i've heard about them betting on who was going to finish 2nd as this Rhydian was a racing cert
