She lives in Xylophagou, a little village by the sea in the historic and spectacular island of Cyprus. She is a lover of Latin, Flamenco and traditional Greek dance, when she was younger she belonged to a professional dance troupe. Her hobbies include painting and reading. Kateřina was born in the small Czech town of Přerov, she now lives in Prague, an exciting and beautiful capital. She’s just finished high school where she obtained ‘the European Certificate of English’ and completed a 3 year course in gymnastics; she is looking forward to her university studies which will be in Field Management and Tourism. Her tastes in music run from playing piano to listening to Red Hot Chili Peppers, Disco and Hip Hop. Her proudest moment was when her team won the national cheerleading competition. Line grew up in Korsor, a very small, old town, situated close to the sea and the forest. Her proudest moment was when she qualified as an Industrial laboratory technician, something she had to fight for, as she is dyslexic. Currently she working at a bio-scientific faculty for food, veterinary medicine and natural resources, she has often been sent to help out at the veterinary hospital. Hobbies & Sporting interests are: travelling; pilates; yoga; swimming; cycling; dancing, listening to music; exhibiting and looking after her 3 dogs; a Prazsky Krysarik, a Chihuahua and a mini pincher. Line is a fighter, she was run over by a truck when she was 12, spent 3 months in hospital, and a year in a wheelchair, she was told she would not be able to run, but succeeded by hard training. Her motto is “Don’t give up until you reach your goal, but without hurting others”.

Ada was born and grew up in Villa Mella, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, a country filled with colour, culture, and music, with a big African Heritage. Having graduated High School with Honours she worked as a store clerk, and with a lot of hard work and night school, she earned their trust and was promoted to keeping the accounts. Ada’s ambition is to work in the beauty business. Coming from an island it is of no surprise that her favourite food is Seafood! ECUADOR - Valeska SAAB GOMEZ

Valeska was born and grew up in Guayaquil, Ecuador, a country of eternal spring weather, which boasts of two World Heritage sites: Quito & Cuenca, in addition to the unique Galapagos Islands. She has graduated with honours both from High School and University Blue Hill from where she achieved her degree in International Business Studies. After completing her year as Miss Ecuador it is her ambition to start her own wholesale and retail business opening a store to sell sports clothes and swimsuits. Hobbies include: Listening to music; Latin American dance, merengue, reggae, electronic and Arabic dance; and social community work. Valeska’s proudest moment was when she received an awarded for her “Outstanding Services to the Community”. Her sporting interests are: tennis and gymnastics. Favourite foods include: Chinese, Sushi, French, Italian and of course the national Ecuadorian food. “ Personal motto: Perseverance, constancy, discipline, desire and hard work to achieve your goals”.

Silvia comes from the largest town in the smallest state in South America. She has studied patisserie and French, and looks forward to completing her degree in communications. Her extended family often get together and there are fifty of them whenever they do. She breeds dogs and has a miniature schnauzer. Her love of dancing took her to the United States where she won a silver medal for Jazz dance. Her tastes also cover Ballet and hip-hop. She likes El Salvador’s national delicacy, pupusas (thick tortillas). When she finishes her studies she hopes to run her own business. Born and raised near Malton in North Yorkshire close to the historic city of York, Georgia is a qualified beauty therapist and model. She is planning to take a degree in design media and make-up as a prelude to a career in film and fashion. Her artistic talents manifest themselves through both natural and fantasy make-up, painting and flower arranging. She is adept in many sports including: trampoline, kick boxing, rock climbing, horse riding and kayaking. She enjoys Mum’s fish cakes and Italian food. Mihret grew up in Teferikela, a small town in the southern region of Ethiopia. She has just completed high school and will enter university after fulfilling her role as Miss Ethiopia. She enjoys: horse riding, cycling, running, reading, dancing the different traditional dances of Ethiopia and listening to modern local music. Her favourite food is Kitfd (minced spicy beef). Her dream is to travel and become a supermodel. Mihret’s most interesting project was feeding a hyena from mouth to mouth. Irene was born in Essikadu and has recently moved to Accra. She is passionate about mathematics, now as a student of the University of Cape Coast she is pursuing undergraduate studies in Mathematics and Statistics. After obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Statistics she intends to undertake postgraduate studies in actuarial science. She loves traditional and western dance, is a keen swimmer and enjoys watching wrestling on TV. When at school she and two others from Africa took part in an international basketball competition at Rutgers University in New Jersey, and she won the award “Most Improved Player”. Irene has toured Ghana with a programme to promote the value of education, and has also visited several European countries as well as the USA. The dishes she most enjoys all contain rice.
