Re: Dancing on Ice (Series Three!)

For the moment it probably is the housewives keeping Greg in even if it is apparent that the judges do not like him. Zaraah in the bottom two is a minor surprise but I suppose Zaraah is no Alesha Dixon or Leona Lewis in the way that someone has captured the GBP's imagination.

That Emmerdale fanbase must be doing wonders for Linda Lusardi.

Minor trouble behind-the-scenes as Suzanne gets a low score from one of the judges:
Dancing on Ice | Judges' bust-up | 4-letter words | The Sun |HomePage|Showbiz|TV

I assume Nicky must have lumped on BIG on Sky Bet's 3/1 ON that Chris would have the highest score then!

OT: I didn't know that Steve Backley had a prosthetic hip!
The Press Association: Backley bites the dust in skate-off

Re: Dancing on Ice (Series Three!)

That Nicky is a complete dick - Not only did he overrate Gareth giving him a 5 which was a complete joke of a score, but then he just made a complete idiot of himself by giving Suzanne a 4.. As far as I was concerned (and not just because I have a large financial interest in her..), her dance last night was the best of the whole series so far..

After Zaraah ended up in the Skate off last night (demonstrating again that a latecomer just doesnt do well) Suzanne looks nailed on for the final..2nd favouirte again with some Bookies.. I do agree that Linda has a mindless Emmerdale following, but she does have elegance, but she is still getting carried by her partner and just isnt at the same level as Suzanne.. So injuries aside Suzanne should get top female (at least)..

Re: Dancing on Ice (Series Three!)

This weeks 's odds from Sky Bet and Stan James:

Stan James seem kinda resigned that Chris Fountain is the chosen one in opening a 'betting without Chris Fountain' market.

Re: Dancing on Ice (Series Three!)

Slightly annoyed that I put a lot of attention elsewhere and completely missed this.

Linda Lusardi out as she loses the skate-off against Zaraah Abrahams.

I'm thinking one of two scenarios next week:

1. Greg skates off against Zaraah and Greg is eliminated.
2. Zaraah is eliminated as she's up 'surprisingly' against one of the top three.

Which one will it be though? Or will they get other ideas and we're due an absolute shocker?

Good news on the Suzanne bet as the judges gave her top marks this week (albeit only just). Well I suppose if Zaraah keeps getting put up for the skate-off, chances are she'll be gone anyway!

Re: Dancing on Ice (Series Three!)

I think we could see Zaraah out this weekend..

The Greg vs Jason 'feud' will bring ut all the lovies out to vote for greg yet again, and I too can see a Zaraah vs Gareth or even Suzanne/Chris

It's not actually beyond the realms of possibility that if we have a Greg vs Zaraah skate off, we don't see a 3-2 vote in Gregs corner.. .

Whatever the eventualities, the 2/1 that Bet365 have on Zaraah going is definately worth considering, when yu thik that it's 2/5 for Greg to go..and he's never been in a skate off !!

I'm looking at adding this to our Sunday tip on LBC radio chaps. It ok to write a couple of lines on Zaraah going out Rick or Stereoman or whatever the best bet is? Just a couple of lines would be great. Be as cheeky and as mainstream as you dare. Steve Allen is a big celeb fan so im gonna really push our special bets onto him. Just need to play it by ear though.

The best way of writing for the radio i think is to make the job easy for the broadcaster. Just write what he would like to impress his audience in saying. Conciseness is the key too. Whatever way it comes i'll try and keep it light for him.

ps this will be on sundays email as i believe this show is on sunday.

Re: Dancing on Ice (Series Three!)

Hmmm. Wednesday's Bettingzone Market Moves was:

1215: ‘Dancing On Ice’ star Greg Rusedski may be no ‘ace’ on the ice but has certainly won over the public, having never landed in the bottom two after receiving consistently low scores.

Sky Bet now quote just 7/1 for him to make the final three and it’s 10/1 for Greg not only to make the top three but for judge Jason Gardiner to follow up his threat to quit as a result.

Sky Bet’s Entertainment Manager Helen Jacob, said: "Greg’s a goof on the ice but the public might vote him into the final just to see the back of Jason Gardiner!”

Current favourite to win the show, Chris Fountain, is 7/1 to be awarded his first perfect 30 this weekend.

Meanwhile, the bookie prices it at 12/1 that Gareth “Skates” can complete the double of winning ‘Dancing On Ice’ and nailing a number one UK chart hit this year.

This week's odds from Stan James and Sky Bet:

Too dodgy for me to even consider a bet...sorry komp.

I think Greg's finally going to be in a skate-off and eliminated but the odds are too low.

I've no idea if ITV want Greg to survive another week (they're fooking in on it whatever the outcome).

Sometimes they get rid of the no-marks before it gets really serious (Chico and The MacDonald Brothers over in 'The X Factor') and sometimes they'll allow 'em to survive as long as possible to keep the phone votes ticking over from demented fans (Paul Burrell and Janice Dickinson over in 'I'm A Celebrity' spring to mind).

Re: Dancing on Ice (Series Three!)

No probs Stereoman. I would rather have no bet than a bad bet. I think rick quite likes the sound of that woman to be eliminated and that should prove popular with LBC. Hopefully Rick still fancies it as a bet and i will mention it tomorrow.

Re: Dancing on Ice (Series Three!)

Bloody hell Komp, I nearly fell off my chair when I saw you had posted a reply on the 'Dancing on Ice' thread.

Putting aside the ITV insider telephone voting conspiracy theories that Stereo is so convinced are taking place I still feel quitely strong abut the Zaraah bet at 2/1, but nt quite strong enough to place a bet on it..yet..

The 2/1 on Zaraah is the same as betting on Greg to avoid the skate off..There is a groundswell of support for Greg and the feud with Jason is obviously entertaining and good tv for ITV. To be fair, athough it would be nice to see 2 boys and 2 girls in the next round, lets be honest - Zaraah is as dull as dishwater and expendable as far as the TV show are concerned and I thnk another 'good guy vs the villain routine' tonight could see him avoiding the skate off again..

Hmmm..I'll have to think about this more before placing the bet.. So I woulnt commit to it yet

Oh yes fellows I do like how this Suzanne bet is shaping up...dodgy bit in the middle but now plenty of momentum, good press, shortening odds. Should be looking at a 2 horse race by finals night with Suzanne having every chance.
