Hmmm. Wednesday's
Bettingzone Market Moves was:
1215: ‘Dancing On Ice’ star
Greg Rusedski may be no ‘ace’ on the ice but has certainly won over the public, having never landed in the bottom two after receiving consistently low scores.
Sky Bet now quote just 7/1 for him to make the final three and it’s 10/1 for Greg not only to make the top three but for judge Jason Gardiner to follow up his threat to quit as a result.
Sky Bet’s Entertainment Manager Helen Jacob, said: "Greg’s a goof on the ice but the public might vote him into the final just to see the back of Jason Gardiner!”
Current favourite to win the show,
Chris Fountain, is 7/1 to be awarded his first perfect 30 this weekend.
Meanwhile, the bookie prices it at 12/1 that Gareth “Skates” can complete the double of winning ‘Dancing On Ice’ and nailing a number one UK chart hit this year.
This week's odds from
Stan James and
Sky Bet:
Too dodgy for me to even consider a bet...sorry komp.
I think Greg's finally going to be in a skate-off
and eliminated but the odds are too low.
I've no idea if ITV want Greg to survive another week (they're fooking in on it whatever the outcome).
Sometimes they get rid of the no-marks before it gets really serious (Chico and The MacDonald Brothers over in 'The X Factor') and sometimes they'll allow 'em to survive as long as possible to keep the phone votes ticking over from demented fans (Paul Burrell and Janice Dickinson over in 'I'm A Celebrity' spring to mind).
