Fell asleep yesterday afternoon and missed the fact that even more money's being bet on Joe Calzaghe.
William Hill aren't offering the 'w/o Clarke & Phillips' market any more.
==========
1500: The money continues to support Joe Calzaghe to be named
BBC sports personality of the year on Sunday.
The super-middleweight boxer's odds were trimmed yesterday and the same has happened today at both
Ladbrokes and
William Hill.
Calzaghe has been cut from 10/1 to 8/1 with
Ladbrokes - he had been 16/1 at the start of the week - while Hill's have changed their price from 8s to 7s.
Ryder Cup hero Darren Clarke remains the hot odds-on favourite, with Hill's reporting three bets of £1,000-plus in the last 24 hours.
Ladbrokes spokesman Nick Weinberg said: "Darren Clarke aside, Joe Calzaghe, is the only candidate who has attracted support on a daily basis in the fortnight leading up to the ceremony.
"After adding the IBF crown to his WBO title, the Welshman could not have done much more to win the award. He's definitely emerging as the dark horse."
Hill's Rupert Adams added: "The big money continues to come in for Darren Clarke to win but there is a definite Calzaghe bandwagon starting to gain momentum and at this rate we expect Joe to overtake Zara Phillips as the second favourite in the next day or so."
World three-day event champion Phillips has drifted out to 9/2 from 4/1 with
Ladbrokes.
