Re: Christmas No.1

Oh right-o. Eh. I wasn't reading it right.

Since when did they offer odds on which album would be number one other than Christmas!? I couldn't care less that The Beatles, Oasis, U2 and Westlife were all releasing albums in the same week...they never have these kind of markets in the shop, online or over the phone when I ring.

Must say Take Thats live show on ITV 2 nights ago has been giving some huge reviews with everyone raving about them so that would've done them no harm at all in this.

Re: Christmas No.1

Last day to have a bet on this...

Take That are a bit skinny at 'evens' as they are taking a dive for Leona. Not sure if any of the other singles are capturing the imagination as much as Take That's though. McFly's a danger I suppose but I've overestimated their chances before as are Girls Aloud.

...I expect a well co-ordinated/manipulated sales figures push in midweek like last year's Ronan Keating/Yusaf Islam coup a couple of years ago.

Re: Christmas No.1

Take That are number TWO.

McFly are number three, Girls Aloud are number four.

Nah, it's all Chief77's doing and they should be getting the credit. I didn't do anything but fret about other Christmas markets and just update the odds.

Re: Christmas No.1

Aye bet came in alright, not exactly how I thought it would pan out admittedly, as I thought there would be a single released after Patience. Still mustn't grumble.

Now what odds on the New Kids On The Block for next year?
