Several interesting markets from
Paddy Power:
Call my bluff on this last market though.
Last year's opening night on a Sunday attracted 9.5m. I can't see it being over 10m particularly on a Monday but ITV are being sneaky buggers by putting an extra episode of
Coronation Street at 8:30pm before it to try and prove me wrong. The
BBC counter at 8:30pm with
Trauma, a documentary series following the work of the doctors and nurses in A&E at the Royal Liverpool Hospital.

You're basically betting on whether ITV1 can steamroller BBC1 between 9pm and 10pm. I think Paddy's have got this market wrong. I don't think the deviation for those tuning into the first night of
I'm A Celebrity outweighs those wanting to watch the final episode of
Spooks (I don't think the FA Cup tie between Macclesfield Town and Walsall over on Sky Sports One is going to make much of a difference.

).
'Spooks' gets around just less than 6 million in the past nine weeks.
Channel 4 are putting up a new series as well and highbrow viewers and royal watchers will probably tune into
Monarchy by David Starkey instead. BBC2 fight back with the second episode of
Lock Them Up or Let Them Out. Five have given up the ghost offering a sacrificial lamb of something called
Middle Child Syndrome.
I'm booking it but only a tiddler just in case I'm on a big heap of wrong....£20 on ''Under 10 million' at 10/11.
Reading the stuff about David Gest in the News of the World makes me wonder why he's going on the show. If the producers bow down to his demands it makes a mockery of what is already a shoddy show.
* He won't do the Bushtucker trials because he claims he has ill-health (the medics say he can).
* Has banned any of the other celebs from asking him questions about Liza Minelli.
* He has to have a personal assitant on set to help make his bed.
* Won't take off his sunglasses.

I won't be surprised if there's a sustained gamble on him to be the first to quit (he says he won't though).
He almost certainly won't be first evicted (£100,000 of ITV's money says he won't).
Skybet also have a bunch of specials that may appeal. I'm thinking specifically the 3/1 (someone to quit voluntarily) and 7/1 (celeb having to quit due to injury) shots.
