Re: Dancing on Ice

I didnt realise that I backed the same as Beanie..Of course you have all read my blog () but for those who havent, Bracken (1/2) looks like the boy to win. However he is near unbackable at the moment at massively odds on. Lee Sharpe (16/1) is the boy to watch. He honestly looks a natural skater and he has a good persona... I genuinely reckon he could make the final..

Also...A male WILL win the title so forget all this soap opera folloing bollocks...

Re: Dancing on Ice

Yeah Sharpe looks the value at the moment. I'd agree on your soap point too - it would usually come into play on these shows but not for Emily here I don't think...she's not got the most liked character on her soap and certainly isn't your Gaynor Faye type. Duncan James can't skate too well, Buckfield hit her peak too early but could come good again. Gonna lay my Bracken bet soon...maybe before tomorrow night - he's due a hiccup soon and I cant see the judges letting this canter towards the title go on too long.

Re: Dancing on Ice

Duncan James at 5.50 - 6.00 for tonights elimination looks good...would leave a nice balance with 2 men and 2 women left and Symonds might scrape through on the ITV vote. Sharpe is certainly a better skater and if in the bottom two the judges might take the chance to get rid of James who hasn't shown much improvement.

Re: Dancing on Ice

I think Duncan's sob story in the centre pages of The Sun today could mean he gets a few votes and postpone his eviction until next week though.

It's certainly a value bet though and the bookies have got the favourite to be eliminated wrong five out of the last six times (only Kay when she was eliminated was correctly predicted). Stan James make Lee the favourite to go (probably based on the This Morning poll) whilst everybody else makes Emily favourite (probably based on the fact that they think she's crap and the public will agree).

This will no doubt be a typical ITV reality show elimination that it goes against the perceived logic of what's supposed to happen. The This Morning poll (which has apparently proved eeriely accurate the last six times) suggests Lee and then Duncan are the least popular.

The This Morning poll of 'Who do you want to win?':

1st. Kyran 39%
2nd. Emily 21%
3rd. Clare
4th. Duncan
5th. Lee

Re: Dancing on Ice

Could be right - I'm off out anyway and didn't get matched so will keep my dough in my pocket for tonight and hope James goes so that Bracken's odds fall further.

Re: Dancing on Ice

Haven't checked the odds, but surely Bracken is on the brink of being unbackable..?

Re: Dancing on Ice

You'd have to think so. I expect Kyran to be 1/5 after the show as bookies don't wanna know. Every poll since the third week has had Kyran as the most popular.

Me? Well I didn't back any outrights in the beginning and I would have backed Duncan James based only on the pretence that Blue fans would vote for him in their droves.

I forgot and underestimated the potential housewives vote.

Re: Dancing on Ice

Prices at Paddy's:

Emily Symons 1/4
Lee Sharpe 3/1
Clare Buckfield 12/1
Duncan James 14/1
Kyran Bracken 100/1

Betfair:

Emily Symons 1.51
Lee Sharpe 3
Duncan James 15
Clare Buckfield 27
Kyran Bracken 400

Not particularly conclusive and nothing we didn't already know that it looks like it'll be a Lee vs Emily skate-off.

Re: Dancing on Ice

Well, well, well. Those on betfair/Digital Spy are going to be up-in-arms/jumping for joy citing the This Morning poll and how ITV want to keep Emily on the show and what not.

Stan James can feel vindicated now as the rest of the bookies go a miserable six for seven in favourites not being eliminated. Not sure if the bookies have been caned by those in the know or not as there've been some juicy prices throughout the series.

Me? I bet on...Emily. The This Morning poll is lethal. Clare beats Lee 5-0 to survive.

Re: Dancing on Ice

Paddy's odds in-running...

Kyran 4/9, Clare 7/4 and Duncan 16/1

WOW!! Clare's odds have come in a lot!

Has Declan Donnelly somehow fixed the show for his ex-girlfriend!?
