Re: Celebrity Fame Academy! (Series Three!)

Whoa...matched at 2.34 and she's saved by the judges. That one came right out of left field after they talked of Fred having a decent style and Linda putting in her best performance of the series so far. Hmmm bit more thought needed for tomorrow.

Re: Celebrity Fame Academy! (Series Three!)

Potential winner...Ray Stubbs! He feckin awful but he knows it and speaks his songs rather than singing. Anyway he's a likeable chap, the judges seem to like him a little, and the crowd love him - Stubbsy! Stubbsy! Stubbsy!

Whether the football crowd outnumbers the teenybopper crowd in terms of voting is pretty unlikely, but if any of them are going to develop a cult following(and these are the things we're trying to predict) then its Ray.

Anyway, if I can get matched at 70s or higher there will be good opportunities for laying off at smaller odds later on.

Re: Celebrity Fame Academy! (Series Three!)

Judges vote 2-1 to save Angellica, students voted 6-3 in favour of Fred.

Zoe saves LINDA
Tricia saves LINDA
Tara saves LINDA
Mel saves FRED
Colin saves FRED
Shaun saves FRED
Tim saves FRED
Ray saves FRED
Angellica saves FRED

I'm a little surprised that the first three in the market were up for elimination but there you go.

Well you don't need me to tell you that Angellica, Fred and somebody else will make up the bottom three on Friday night and that Angellica will probably be saved by the judges again.

Re: Celebrity Fame Academy! (Series Three!)

4th elimination odds from Skybet:

Hmmm. Thinking again, everyone else can sing better than Angellica so probably she will be in the bottom two along with oooh, Fred. The judges probably won't save her this time (Lesley's already voted twice against Angellica!). 6-5 split in favour of the males so if Angellica is in the bottom two she looks likely to be toast.

My fear of the female bloc vote seems unconfounded as the vote results have already eliminated three females in a row!

Re: Celebrity Fame Academy! (Series Three!)

Yikes - TPT odds halved overnight from over 10s to just over 5s. I still don't buy it mind.

Re: Celebrity Fame Academy! (Series Three!)

Well it's usually about this time that I go nuts and go off on one of my conspiracy theories.

Tara seems to have some strong support behind her BUT for some strange reason, I don't think the BBC will let her win. Ruby Wax couldn't do it (she lost to the rather bland Will Mellor) and Adrian Edmondson couldn't muscle past Kim Metcalf and Edith Bowman.

I'm a little surprised that Tim Vine has moved into fourth favouritism but for those voting for a bloke, there's scant choice.

I've lumped £50 on at the 11/8 on Angellica Bell to leave tonight. I expect the BBC will scupper my dastardly plans though and that she doesn't even finish in the bottom three (and if she does, the judges will save her again! ).

Re: Celebrity Fame Academy! (Series Three!)

Hmm...I'll leave it alone tonight - I don't think those in the house would save Angelica against anyone she could potentially be up against...and I think the only way she'll be saved by the judges is if up against Stubbsy and Fred(and even then) - but after seeing her saved yesterday when she is the 100% worst singer/entertainer in the competition has me scratching my head. Gonna wait till the field thins a litte, but good luck stereo...I hope she goes.

Fred MacAulay into EVENS in-running. I'm not going to bother with this after tonight.

To be honest - I've not watched an episode of this - How is Colin Murray doing? Should I bail out ?

Re: Celebrity Fame Academy! (Series Three!)

I'm letting my bet ride but I'm a fool who occasionally strikes lucky. :wasntme

The judges couldn't decide and Richard thinks with his dick and saves Zoe. Students voted to save either Mel or Tim...

Angellica saves MEL
Ray saves TIM
Colin saves TIM
Tara saves MEL
Shaun saves TIM
Tricia saves MEL
Fred saves MEL
Zoe saves MEL

FUCKING 10/1! Don't tell me that somebody at the Beeb ain't in on this!

Angellica Bell is this year's Reggie Yates.

Re: Celebrity Fame Academy! (Series Three!)

Well if u need a silver lining stereo then it is that Colin is now the only viable male alternative to the obvious choice Shaun, who most wont vote for as he's a boring fucker, and so Colin is as strong as ever IMO. Men do well in reality shows and Colin is in great shape now. Easy! Easy!

Well the cult has developed! He's been taken at 8.00 on Betfair...price is sliding remarkably.

Well I never quite got the 70s but got some not too shabby odds all the same, and Ray might have this competition wrapped up already. Tricia is a spent force(bottom 3 tonight) and if it were some sort of final head to head between Shaun and Ray then Ray is gonna destroy him. The look on his face everytime he goes through is what people are voting for, and they're gonna do it in bigger and bigger numbers. Stubbsy! Stubbsy! Stubbsy!

Re: Celebrity Fame Academy! (Series Three!)

Richard tries to save Zoe but the other two don't comply and save Tricia. Angellica and Zoe up to be saved and the students went for...

Shaun saves ANGELLICA
Tara saves ANGELLICA
Colin saves ANGELLICA
Fred saves ANGELLICA
Ray saves ZOE
Mel saves ANGELLICA
Tricia saves ZOE

I fell into a deep sleep and didn't wake up until 9:30pm after going to bed at 6am so I didn't put the odds up like I usually do. .

Songs for Sunday:

Ray - Strangers in the Night
Colin - Love and Marriage
Fred - You Make Me Feel So Young
Tara - These Boots Are Made for Walking
Tricia - I'll Never Fall In Love Again
Angellica - Walk On By
Mel - Move Over Darling

Re: Celebrity Fame Academy! (Series Three!)

Shaun's song is 'That's Amore' btw.

Well this looks like the most likely scenario but you don't need me to tell you that:

* Angellica's a cert to be nominated
* Two nominees should be from Fred/Mel/Tricia
* Ray/Colin/Shaun/Tara are pretty much safe

I think some of the celebs are fearing voting out Angellica for spurious reasons.

I shouldn't be touching these eliminations with a bargepole and should be concentrating on trying to secure a profit as to who'll eventually win the damn thing (Colin Murray looks doomed with everybody but him getting the 'most likely to win' tag) but I CAN'T let this go....I must get an elimination right before this ends on Friday!

£20 at 9/2 that Mel Giedroyc is the 6th eliminated (Skybet).

NOTE: Fred MacAulay is odds-on over at Betfair but there's absolutely no liquidity at the moment:
