I've heard whispers that Chris Moyles is supporting Stubbsy...if true then he should be just about favourite IMO. Its him or Murray for me, altho Murray is looking a little dodgy recently.

And Colin it was...surviving by the skin of his teeth v Mel. Nice work Stereo

And the other in the bottom 3 was Shaun! That gives a little hint towards his support(given that he didn't sing too badly, whereas the performance is Colin's excuse.)

Also TPT and Stubbsy are the only 2 to have avoided the bottom 3 so far - and Stubbsy was hopeless tonight.

Tonight should give both Colin and his fans a good kick up the arse, and we'll need it as he isn't gonna duck below tens again for a while.

I got incredibly lucky and Paddy's were offering 5/1 and I didn't want any of it.

Their tennis was in-running but the rest of Skybet's traders have gone home for the night so I haven't been paid yet.

Fecking Richard wanted to save Mel but the other two disagreed, saving Shaun instead. Voters decided to get rid of Colin or Mel and it went like this...

I'd disagree on that one - very few performers have been in the bottom 3 the night after their first night there so I think Colin will get a stay of execution for 1 night...he needs a big big performance tho. Doing a Fats Domino song so I hear.

Fred and Angelica avoiding the bottom 3 completely threw the markets...Mel was trading at 22 to go on Betfair just before results were announced

It's understandable and tbe internet polls seem to be overwhelming that Tara will win this but this ain't voted through the internet (those who lumped on Shaun and Colin ante-post will assuredly be trying to make sure their man's in the final three for Friday's final. Tara and Ray seem ominous that they seem 'invincible' at the moment and that they're the spoilers).

I should have 'hedged' a few eliminations as trickrick suggested but bravado and dumbheaded stubbornness got in my way.

There's no way I want to be backing Tara at such a shortish price. If someone's offering 2/1+ on the exchanges I might have a pop at Tara.

Tara will go odds-on by Wednesday.

I'll say it right now...and put my head squarely on the reality betting block - TPT will not win this.

The reason why is (IMO) that the Friday night voting(Red Nose Night) will be a lot more different to the voting on any other night, and certainly different to the internet...altho most reality shows have been for charity, as this one is so closely associated with the most popular charity night in the UK a lot of people who wouldn't dream of voting in one of these things at any other time(even if for charity) will do so on Friday.

Those voters aren't gonna be too familiar with any of them - in the case of TPT if they know about the 'it girl' thing then they aren't gonna vote for her, and if they dont know about her then I'm not sure her performance is enough to attract votes on its own, not when up against far more established bbc faces.

Voting on finals night will probably be 5/10 times greater than any other night...so its judging the preferences of that 'one off vote' demographic that is the key IMO.

Having said all that tho I'm now not so convinced about Stubbsy and Colin...need to think again.

Thank god...sanity prevails and Tara is bottom 3 with Tricia and Fred. Fred goes.

That's taken the sting out of the gamble on Tara...quite right too for the reasons above.

The whole market still looks 100% wrong tho...Tricia shorter than Stubbsy despite being bottom 2 twice now? Shaun and Tara near 3s despite both being bottom 3 and neither showing anything particularly special.

Tonight was a big night for Colin and Ray. Colin got the kick up the backside expected from last night but his performance was still poor. He was told after it he needs to get back to doing songs like Teenage Kicks like he did week 1 and thats 100% correct - if he does that he still has a chance and 16s are too big.

Stubbsy the only one never in bottom 3 so far - he's got the cult following so he just needs to play up to it.

Ray should be ok with that.

Colin and Ray are prob too long but their problem is staying in until its purely down to a public vote...if that happens their odds will crash as they can command bigger public support than the rest.

If in bottom 3 tho they wont be saved by the judges and could get voted out(Colin a bigger worry than Ray there.)

Colin has twice gone against the majority vote (he was the only one yesterday to vote for Fred!) and I feel that may annoy some of the others. Could easily be a 2-2 tie in the student vote with Richard having the casting vote as to who gets eliminated.

I got just about every market move right in a Celebrity singing contest a few weeks ago on Soapstar Superstar, but I officially give up trying to predict how the eliminations go...it just seems like a complete lottery at the moment, either that or I'm missing something reaally obvious.

Ray put in his best performance to date tonight and so ends up in the bottom 3 for the first time

Colin and Stubbsy bottom 3 tonight with Angelica and Colin survives by the skin of his teeth...I have no idea how he's gonna survive if in the bottom 3 again but I'll never underestimate the luck of the Irish.

I suppose Ray was due a bottom 3 scare...I feel a bit better for him having had one now as he should get to the final 3 without further problems...its Shaun and Tricia who might be on shifty ground having not been down there for a while.

Oh feck off. It's always been three in the final. Why have they changed it for this year then!? Silly feckers.

I didn't realise that it was the public who had the casting vote if it was a tie. Maybe the Colin Murray backers who lumped on him got their arse into gear!

One has to assume that Colin will be in the bottom three for Wednesday night. Anyone's guess who the other two might be...with some luck there might be some tactical voting employed!

it really is impossible to call right now isn't it, not sure what's going on with the public tara love in mind you. didn't they say last night that there would be three in the final and when they asked mel who should be in the final she listed three.
