Re: I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! (Series Five!)

Thanks for that info. Stereoman.

It certainly backs up my theory that the most vunerable to go first are those who came into the show without a natural fanbase. eg, don't think too many weathergirls have a fan club of any size and I can't imagine that Nancy Sorrell had much of one either

Re: I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! (Series Five!)

You can get 5/1 at SportingOdds btw

Are we sure the eviction process in terms of votes is 'who you want to keep in' rather than 'who do you want to go'? Just for clarifcation cos it obviously makes a big difference.

Also will Jilly Goolden have a fanbase as such? Ive never heard of her see. What does Carol Thatcher do as well apart from just being a daughter of a famous mum? Will she not have some sort of conservative vote or something? Wasnt Elaine Lordan a bit of a shite eastenders character and not very well liked? Just trying to get into this a bit here!

Thats the spirit muze

3 horses...

I will say one thing for Jilly...she's a game old bird. I saw some program on C4 last year with some sort of wildeness survival thing which involved lots of throwing up and sticking things up your nose etc and she was superb at it. I reckon she will do well simply because she'll be a right go-er at the challenges. Thatcher might be the same, I've no idea.

Beanie says Jilly Gouldens a right goer ay, fair play and each to their own.

Oh shes that wine one, yeah I know who she is.

As far as I can see (and i have pretty good eyesight) the eviction market is priced up pretty good. Heres the best prices...

Elaine Lordan 9/2
Jilly Goolden 9/2
Carol Thatcher 5/1
Kimberley Davies 13/2
Jimmy Osmond 8/1
Jenny Frost 17/2
Sheree Murphy 14/1
Antony Costa 16/1
Sid Owen 25/1

Re: I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! (Series Five!)

The pretty girls don't tend to do well in these type of things. Kerry McFadden won after all....

I'm gonna agree with mrmuzeman here. Carol though at good odds to be first eliminated isn't necessarily good value to do so. Anything can happen in a week that will propel or shrink someone's popularity.

The past two series they've been allowed a week to acclimatise and then I think it was the one with the least votes to keep them in is kicked out (I've asked over at Digital Spy to see if anyone remembers though).

I've foolishly put £30 on David Dickinson at 13/2 to win over at Stan James. He won't win now that I've done that. I'm cursed. ITV won't allow a BBC employee to win.

The random factor is to how folks will take to Sid Owen (potential Phil Tufnall?), Sheree Murphy (potential Kerry McFadden?), David Dickinson (potential Tony Blackburn/Joe Pasquale?) and Elaine Lordan (????).

Nobody likes Antony Costa if The Match is anything to go by. Kimberley Davies will struggle unless she has some 'personality' (Sophie Anderton did well to finish fifth last year). Elaine Lordan, Carol Thatcher and Jilly Goolden are vying for the same role that Jennie Bond and Janet Street-Porter have had in the past two series which is more-or-less 'mother hen'.

Jimmy Osmond is a bit of an enigma but he may last surprisingly well like Huggy Bear did. Jenny Frost will probably be given a few too many Bushtucker trials to do like Natalie Appleton which means nobody well want her to do well.

Sherre Murphy is probably bland enough to survive until the latter stages.

I'm relying on people backing David Dickinson like some punters did with Joe Pasquale last year for The Duke to win.

Sid Owen ominously though has the potential 'everyman' factor that Tony Blackburn, Phil Tufnall and even Joe Pasquale has (and yeah, Kerry McFadden).

At this ludicrously early stage, win-place-show:

WIN: David Dickinson
PLACE: Sid Owen
SHOW: Sheree Murphy

Re: I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! (Series Five!)

Jimmy Osmond's odds over at Ladbrokes have been suspended (he was 12/1).

I assume either someone's lumped on one large (YEAH RIGHT!) or something like that. Not that it means anything of course.

Most of the forums I've looked at (including the wretched Digital Spy) suggest Sid Owen is 'rightfully' the favourite. Gawd, I hope not.

Starts tonight folks.

Re: I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! (Series Five!)

No but Kimberley Davies is the main eye candy (Jenny Frost and Sheree Murphy are doing nothing for me).

I fear there'll be increased support for Sid Owen and Sheree Murphy later on in the week. Sid and Sheree's done nothing to warrant support.

Kimberley Davies may unexpectedly be the first one voted out because of increasing resentment just for criticising Elaine Lordan when she crossed the tightrope! I doubt it but the GBP and ITV are morons.

Sheree Murphy...

Quote:
I could imagine her doing well. Shes a best price of 7/1
Shes best priced 4/1 now

Pity i didnt follow my own advice Still theres a long way to go.

Unfortunately for some Carol Thatcher got a fair bit of exposure and is doing the first task so I think is unlikely to be ousted, shes now 8/1 best price for eviction.

Re: I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! (Series Five!)

Not that I bet on these things but I watched it last night & I reckon Sid Owens a rightful favourite. He wasnt bothered about the challenge at all, he showed compassion over the pregnant fainting bird & he didnt moan about Dickinson not pulling his own vine. Looks right to me. I think Harry Kewells mrs probably did well by jumping whilst shit scared but that Jilly Goolden woman wont get the common vote by knowing her red wine & refusing to drink it.
First out for me would be either Jimmy Ormond as hes just bland & boring, Jilly Goolden as I've put above & Kimberley Davies as shes seems very boring. I think Thatcher will stay in for a fair bit as remember last year (I think) they kept voting McFadden on the trials ?? I can see that happening again with all the miners & APTU people keeping her in to keep putting her on trials....that pissing hasnt hurt her either IMO.

Told you I didnt know much about it

Awesome !!

Re: I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! (Series Five!)

Sid Owen 7/2
Sheree Murphy 11/2
David Dickinson 11/2

Bookies have it right. The winner will come from these three in my opinion.
