The first thing that strikes me is that Ellaine Lordan is suspended. It should happen to more of them if you ask me.

The second thing is that the brown bomber - Mr Dickinson - looks like a good bet to me. He's one of those people termed "Housewives Favorite". Which translates into normal people's language as, "cunt".

My money's on him.

I'd agree ODM, or atleast with the bit that says Dickinson is a cunt.

If anyone watched that antiques reality show thingybob, where he put his own money 'on the line' and had to train people up will have seen a grouchy, moaning, confrontational bastard, and I think once the pressure is on and the mahogany glow is beginning to fade, he'll start getting all narky again.

Re: I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! (Series Five!)

Sporting Life's Market Moves says....

1200: Bargain Hunt presenter David Dickinson is now joint-favourite with the bookies to win I'm A Celebrity - Get Me Out Of Here!

Ladbrokes have been innundated with female punters looking to back The Duke in the ITV1 jungle show.

And they have now been forced to slash his odds from 7/1 to 3/1.

Ladbrokes spokesman Karl Williams said: "It looks like the punters have snapped up the bargain - and he's now cheap as chips in the betting.

"The housewives think he's a real bobby dazzler and we could be seeing history repeating itself after Tony Blackburn's win in a previous series."

There has also been shrewd money for an unnamed contestant winning the two week long show, with TV chiefs lining up a surprise arrival.

==============

This isn't what I'm hearing. I've read elsewhere that 'serious' money has gone on Sheree Murphy and Sid Owen (mostly at William Hill who also initially reported a gamble on David Dickinson).

....I'll be thrilled if The Duke wins although I'm trying to think of some angle to 'hedge' or just back the winner.

Favourites to do the fourth bushtucker trial over at Betfair are Kimberley Davies, David Dickinson and Sid Owen.

ITV are adamant that there will be no replacement for Elaine Lordan.

U beat me to it Adam , i had heard the same thing too and was about to ask.

The current line up looks like a stale loaf and needs a bit of geeing up, aint a C&B fan but they do need a something to liven the place up.

To early to pick any winner but i reckon the person pissing in the bushes (as its that boring @ the mo ) won't be going this week and worth laying off.

Re: I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! (Series Five!)

I don't understand the latest gamble on....Jimmy Osmond. He came top on This Morning's poll today with 31% of the vote though ahead of Sheree, Sid and David.

It's giving me a headache already. Can't decide whether or not I should lump some on Sheree becoming the last surviving female and call it quits or not (I suspect I might but at 5/4 with William Hill, I ain't gonna win much).

EDIT: Kimberley was voted to do the fourth bushtucker trial and was slightly above evens to do so.

Paddy Power's odds on who will the public choose to take part in the 5TH Bushtucker trial?

Sheree Murphy 11/4
Jilly Goolden 9/2
Antony Costa 5 /1
Sid Owen 6/1
Jenny Frost 6/1
David Dickinson 7/1
Carol Thatcher 9/1
Jimmy Osmond 16/1
Kimberley Davies 20/1

Re: I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! (Series Five!)

A dead heat as Jilly and Carol get picked to do it.

Oh dear. The Jimmy Osmond gamble seems to strengthen whilst David Dickinson is fading pretty fast. Sid's still favourite.

I put £50 on Sheree to be 'Jungle Queen' (aka last surviving female) at odds of 2.58 over at Betfair....it's down to 1.5!

I expect Sheree will be odds-on by the time bookies get 'round to republishing their odds.

I'll give up betting on IACGMOH if Jimmy wins.

Re: I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! (Series Five!)

I've given up already. Carol Thatcher's been backed to fourth favourite and will probably usurp Sheree as the last female standing, David Dickinson's odds are drifting severely and Sid Owen's the only possible winner if the weight of money is to be believed.

....and to top it all, Cannon and Ball are in there! AARRGHH!!

I can't even face it to back Sid to 'hedge my bets'.

Re: I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! (Series Five!)

After tipping Carol Thatcher before the off to be first out of the foilage I have to say that I don't subscribe to her mothers famous quote that the lady is not for turning.

Cos i am prepared to do a U turn myself as I reckon she is now a live contestant to be the outright winner.

Also Jenny Frost @ 15/2 is a sporting bet to be the first to be ousted with Betdirect. She has been annonymous so far and as such when the public are voting for their favourites I could see her slipping through the net. She could be saved by doing a trial but there are only a couple of days to go before the evictions start

I thought about the above last night Jenny is now 14's so maybe she has now done a trial.

But for anyone who is interested we have quite a big arb on this market. Between the various bookies the market is underround (if thats the correct expression) and they are betting at 86%

Re: I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! (Series Five!)

The only crumb of comfort (and I suppose you can call it a fairly large one) is that Sheree Murphy is inexplicably the favourite to win it. She still has to fend off Carol Thatcher which she should very well do.

It'll be interesting to see how the likes of Skybet will settle the first elimination market. I put £10 on Jilly Goolden at 3/1 before Cannon and Ball were introduced and now Tommy Cannon was first eliminated!

As far as I remember, there wasn't an 'Any other' to be eliminated and just the original ten (including Elaine Lordan). I expect not to get my £10 back because they're Skybet but hell, I'm gonna argue to get my £10 back if need be (I need every single penny at the moment. ).

....feel sorry for some of the poor bastards at Betfair thinking they had a sure thing with Kimberley Davies as I think they're getting nothing back (don't they always include an 'Any other' market?) but there seemed to be some shrewdies on the Betfair forums thinking that Cannon/Ball would be evicted. Rock on, Tommy indeed.
