Brilliant stuff Mr O A great read that and as you say its so interesting on how culture and location changes one's outlook on life. What culture on the earth is best really do you think? I know its not a case of pin pointing one particular one but is there one or maybe a group of people who have a cuture that offers them a peacfull existance and maybe with a few mod cons?

Well - that was an interesting evening...and there is a GREAT bet here I reckon...

My short list for what it's worth was,

Miss Bahamas, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Germany, Mauritius, Peru, Sri Lanka



3rd Place,

Miss Ecuador, 130-1



Second Place

Miss Peru, 32-1






But the winner will be, Miss Mauritius, 500-1 !!

Incredible odds - but perhaps she detests children and animals...

Of course, it will all be down to personality in the end, so don't put too much just on the pictures...

Once I met a person on the bus who told me I had a disturbed mind and I was deeply shocked....

When I was thirteen I experienced floods. I woke up that morning to step in to knee lenth water.,,,

Once a year for Christmas my family and I collect clothes and toys and give them to very poor children....

What is the most interesting or unique thing that has ever happened to you (aside from winning your title) and/or what is the most interesting thing about you?
Watching my father being murdered by Neo Nazi at the age of 12. This led to my siblings and I devoting our energy into fighting for justice. Now I am stronger and I see the world through different eyes.

What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
Human Right Lawyer. I've made it my no1 priority to finish my legal studies with flying colours. I will continue my activities of the Counseling for Victims. I will do more work with organizations like amnesty international

I have the ability to draw and although I have never had the opportunity to fully develope in this field, I do expect to study it in the near future.

I remember reading some post-contest interviews with the girl I taught - fact is that it was her answers during the live contest interview that won her the title. She talked about HIV/AIDS which is ravaging that part of the World, and also about a few intellectual ideas she had (she really is a bright person, and it came through). It was that as much as anything else gave her the edge.

You know Komp - the more I think about it - the German girl has a real chance here, and at 170-1 too. I've put a couple of quid on...
