Re: X Factor
I noticed what trickrick wrote there about the "home truths" bit last year, i followed it quite religiously for who would get chucked out. Every week i would have a nibble on it as to whom would go, and actually did quite well. Ok, the price on say phillip to go wasn't great but i decided to stop doing it when they featured maria and her family etc. she was like 80s to go that week, so i thought that the "home truths" was just more whose family they could get at that time, rather than who the itv crew thought would go. of course that week maria was sent packing by louis....needless to say i'm shoving 10 pts on Dionne to go at 3s. (on a scale of 1-50) She has nothing going for her, a mature student at 26 isn't going to get much public support, nerves got the better of her doing the final performance for sharon, really not a good singer. plus she is black- not being racist but black people never do well in reality tv shows-a point i think has been made often. really thought sharon would be better choosing jonathan. so i've gone for her, with the added home truths bit, i think 3s now looks ok, i would have her at 2.50. she should be in the bottom 2.
for the outrights i've got 15pts on ray at 7.2 reasons are that he should get to the last 3, he has the cute factor, hardened stage school performer, his price in the coming weeks should shorten to 3s where i can lay him off. The point about kerry is a good one, stick her in a wheelchair and she could be riding off in to the sunset winning this thing before week 3. i'm going to hold fire on her, want to see how she performs with the chair etc, this week but i do feel that ray can last a long time.

Re: X Factor
Interesting points there Freddy. However I really don't fancy Ray's chances. I agree that he will be popular as that cheeky scouse scamp whose smile will warm the hearts of quite a few viewers. However I am more of a view that he is a lttle scouse scally whose face you want to slap. He is probably the least able singer of any of the contestants, and the very fact that he is a wannabe actor/singer etc who has had a bit part in Brookside really puts me off the lad - not quite your everyday unknown boy-next door, more a failed stage school wannabe who is desperate at having his last chance to be spotted. His 'cheeky smile' will soon wear off and there's gona be one or two songs that will find out his extremely limited vocal ability. Granted I'm sure he will last quite a few weeks as his haracter will ensure he does, but there's no way he'll win the thing..

Re: X Factor
Before the in-running odds for first eviction were removed over at Stan James, the Macdonald Brothers (6/4) and The Unconventionals (3/1) were leading the market with Dionne pushed all the way out to 12/1!
Funny business this unless you're an X Factor producer with a telephone betting account.

Re: X Factor
ok, having seen that, it really should be between unconventionals and mac donalds. felt that the mac donalds were a bit harshly treated, did have good harmonies whereas unconventionals were awful. i think it has to be between those two, louis gets the casting vote and he says unconventionals since they can do a capella next week and have more variety. so 15pts on mac donalds at 2.1 on betfair.

Looking like I may be wrong, this just isn't working at all.

Re: X Factor
Diabolical is the correct word to describe them, one of the worst performance I can ever remember on X-Factor.
