Golf R1 Matchbet Spread Betting System

Just something I'm starting to experiment with.

Firstly, an explanation of how the spread betting on round matchbets work. Players are awarded 10pts for winning the match and 3pts per shot won by. Maximum make up is 55 (or -55).

I am actually planning to get my haircut at the start of September, so after 3 years I should have saved enough for it.

It's not as dangerous as everyone thinks if you do it sensibly, although the swings can be pretty exaggerated, as it only takes one or two good or bad results for give a big profit/loss. As a result of that it's not good for anyone who tends to chase losses (when I started spread betting I was guiltly of that, but soon learned that it's even worse than chasing losses in regular betting), but otherwise it's a good source of profit.

Only joking about the long hair. I think you should keep it. Its different to what every male has really. My mate has long hair - hence why he got the nickname Jesus.

My workmate spread bets and he was explaining it all to me about closing the bet off in profit etc or letting it ride.

Will look into it in the coming months where i will get some money into an account and see how i do on it.

For me the key to spread betting is exactly that - knowing when to let a bet ride, and when to take the profit/loss. It's 50% knowledge, and 50% technique. If I'm betting in running I will always decide before I place the bet if and exactly when I will close it out. On the occassion I haven't had that plan I've lost when I should have won, or not won as much as I could.

For something like this that is not in running, it's more like FO betting, and is 90% knowledge.

Horrible from Goosen so far, +6 through 12, against DiMarco's -2. Donald -1 after 6 with Haas +2. So looking at a loss so far, need Donald to pull away from Haas, and Goosen to pick up 2 or 3 shots in the final 6 holes.
