Never thought my work could actually lead itself to a system for profit on
the fixed odds football coupons but the evidence below makes very
interesting reading.
I have mentioned before that I deal with booking the offical Football Club
trips by train(on
Virgin Trains, hence the title) from the North West of
England to the London area(including Watford and Milton Keynes) and the
three clubs that I deal with are Preston North End, Bolton Wanderers and
Manchester City. These clubs get the best treatment possible on board, with
full 1st class carriages booked for them, even if they only have half the
number of passengers travelling. They also have complete peace and quiet with
security staff on board making sure no passengers bother them whilst on
board, and they get all that for a price cheaper than the public pay for an
individual ticket. No wonder they feel pampered when they arrive!.But does
this actually help them get results in the games, and therefore make profit
for us punters?..The results below are the records since the start of the
2003-2004 season for each club.
Preston North End
Millwall 0 Preston 1
Crystal Palace 1 Preston 1
Gillingham 0 Preston 1
West Ham 1 Preston 2

So in total, backing these 3 sides in every game they play in
London(including Watford and Milton Keynes) you would have had the following
information/figures:
Bets:48
Wining Bets:23(47%)
Drawn Games:13(27.08%)
Lost Games:10(20.8%)
Prior to September there would have a £25+ LSP on this system and we still have to add on Man City winning away at Charlton and Preston winning away at QPR and Crystal Palace so I would expect that figure to be nearer £35 LSP by now.
Excluding cup ties, there are the following opportunities between now and the end of the season:
25th March 2006-Chelsea vs Manchester City
8th April 2006-Tottenham vs Manchester City
15th April 2006-West Ham vs Manchester City
29th April 2006-Tottenham vs Bolton Wanderers
25th February 2005-Reading vs Preston North End(Not London but they are travelling to Watford for the game)
So 5 opportunities for us to profit by taking advantage of bookmakers not yet cottoning on to the good results. The other angle is the correct score/overs angle with 11/48(22.91%) of the games finishing in a 1-2 scoreline in favour of the North West side.Surely bigger odds than 4-1 would be available on that happening?..The Overs currently run at 62.5%(30/48) of games being over 2.5 goals so again the stats are in our favour when bookmakers/layers expect a low
scoring game to take place.
Hope this makes sense guys and let's hope the profits continue!
