Bad news for West Ham - FIFA will investigate

The Premiership may be a bunch of bottling wankers but West Ham are not out of the woods yet.

Any decision will be made in time for the start of the next season.

Fifa is to investigate whether West Ham should have been docked points for breaching rules over the signings of Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano.

An independent commission fined West Ham £5.5m but several Premiership clubs felt the Hammers were let off lightly.
Fifa president Sepp Blatter said: "We are monitoring the situation very carefully because we have the right to see how such cases are dealt with.
"If we feel something was wrong then we have to open our file." He added: "Any decision would definitely be taken in time for next season."

I know, worrying times indeed for West Ham. The last thing they wanted is either Platini or Blatter sticking their beaks in.

Cant see what it has to do with them though. I mean it was a Premier League rule that was contravined and not a FIFA one. Then again, when has Sepp ever needed and excuse to nose in other people's business. Cunt.

What can FIFA do to West Ham?Ban them from playing Champions League of UEFA Cup?

The main reason for Blatter's interferenig in this mess around Tevez and Mascherano is because he want to have more influence in Premier League.
Wanker.

Re: Bad news for West Ham - FIFA will investigate

It's got everything to do with FIFA. Like it or not it is still the world governing body and it's in their interests to ensure that a country's league isn't involved with "fixing" its own leagues which - it can be argued - is exactly what the Premiership has done.

The last thing I read on the subject was that all the likes of Wigan etc were asking the prem to do was to show the written evidence that the transfers were legit, rather than just saying that they believed what West Ham was telling them.

If they are so incompetent and/or stupid to provide such evidence then I'm all for someone giving them a kick and telling them to start behaving like a proper organisation.

So there's your answer Grga, they effectively have them relegated.

FIFA have already intervened in the Spanish league. Rayo Vallecano have been told they will be relegated to 3rd division if they don't pay some Brazilian club an owed transfer fee. Rayo appealed saying what right does FIFA have to do this, courts rejected their appeal.

Thing is if FIFA put them down, West Ham will surely appeal.

I wish the FA and England in general was more Italian thinking. If this was in Italy not only would Sheff Utd be appealing but also Watford and Charlton. And probably the losers of the Championship play offs as well. All their local courts would then back their appeals and you would end up with a 27 team EPL next season. Sky would have a game on every day and Jose Mourinho would be playing himself at right back come mid March. With Paolo Ferriera on the bench.
