My first and major concern is the fact that you have to have a visa for entering Russia. These take typically 3 weeks to produce and cost over £100. So assuming you get to the final, you have 3 weeks notice from your Semi Final game to the match itself. Not much time to fill the forms in and to get your request processed by the Russian Embassy is it?

.
been told that no visa required

TYPES OF VISAS

What is a Russian Visa?

A visa to the Russian Federation is a document, permitting stay in Russia for a specific period of time. Visa lists entry/exit dates, your name, passport details, and a purpose of travel. Please note, that your Russian visa is an exit permit just like it’s an entry permit: if you lose it or stay over your designated departure date, leaving the country could be more troublesome than entering it.

We can assist you with the following types of Russian visas:

Tourist visa

- Single entry, valid up to 1 month
- Double entry, valid up to 1 month

Business visa

- Single entry, valid up to 3 months
- Double entry, valid up 3 months
- Multiple entries, valid for 1 year

Private visa

Valid up to 3months, based only on private invitation from relatives / friends in Russia

Russian Tourist Visa.

Tourist visa type is a document which allows foreigners to travel to Russia as tourists. Such visas are issued for a maximum of 30 days and cannot be extended. A tourist visa is best when you know exactly where and how long you will be staying without diverting from your planned itinerary. For a tourist visa to Russia, you must have confirmed accommodation for every night of your stay in the country.

To apply for a Russian Tourist Visa you will need the following documents:

1. Original passport, valid for at least 6 months.
2. Application form
3. One passport-type photograph
4. Tourist visa support documents (hotel voucher and confirmation of tourist acceptance)
5. Applicable fee

Please note: You cannot obtain a visa from the Russian Consulate directly unless you have a voucher and a booking confirmation (a.k.a. visa support documents)

Tourist voucher and booking confirmation can be arranged by us (the Russian National Tourist Office).

If you are not a UK citizen, additional documents and consulate fees might be applied. Please contact us for more information.

VOUCHER AND/OR CONFIRMATION ARE NOT A VISA, THEY ARE VISA SUPPORT DOCUMENTS!

VISA HAS TO BE STAMPED INTO YOUR PASSPORT BY THE RUSSIAN CONSULATE!

If you have already booked a hotel in Russia, please get in touch with them to obtain tourist visa support documents (hotel voucher and confirmation of tourist acceptance).

If you haven’t booked a hotel yet and would like to apply for Tourist voucher and Confirmation you can do it online now (choose the option "Request for Russian Tourist Invitation Only"). After we receive your payment, we will prepare the documents and send them over to you by post, fax or email.

Re: Liverpool Fans - "Europe's Worst"

Aye, but Russia isnt in the EU Andee - the official website says you do need a visa. It is possible when going to america to fill in your documents while on the plane over there. But it seems with Russia that you need to sort it in advance.

Can see a huge potential problem there.

I saw that fat twat Platini (dont some people let themselves go eh!) on Sky Sports News and he denied that Liverpool were the worst behaved in Europe and denied that there was any evidence to prove it. Given the slur against us then, shouldnt William Gaylord be resigning then?

You cant come out with bollocks like that, slur a group of people and all along be making it up.

If he said that about black people (ie that black fans are the most violent in Europe) then he would be out of a job in a flash.
