Ticket applications coming out today for Scotlands away game in Paris in September. We are looking like we are going to be taking our biggest away support since Brussels in 2001, 12,000+ possibly.

So first off the French stick the game at the Parc De Prince (capacity 49,000) instead of the Stade De France (80,000) because of the pishy Egg Chasing World Cup.

Then the fuckers only allocate us 3,500 tickets. Was orginally 2,300 but SFA asked for more.

And finally, to put the fucking cherry on the fucking icing on the fucking cake...the robbing fuckers charge £41 a ticket for the original 2,300 tickets and a fucking whopping £82 for the extra 1,200 tickets.

If I end up with an £82 ticket I will be expecting free champagne in the stadium bar and a blow job from a 18 year large lipped Angelina Jolie-a-like French burd in my seat at HT.

This is fucking ridiculous! The Italians only charged us £7 to watch us play the world champions.
And how the hell can one seat be worth twice as much as another!
Surely UEFA should be able to do something about this. I doubt that French fans are paying those prices for their tickets, and i guarantee they didn't charge the Georgians and Lithuanians anything like that for their games.

We were £27 for the Georgia home game for North Stand, I expect the other home games this coming season to hit £30, and £33 for South Stand in places. I believe some of the better centre stand seats were close to £40.

But the Parc De Prince is hardly a state of the art stadium so £82 (120 Euros) a ticket......

I bet PSG fans don't have to pay that sort of price for normal league games.


Bonehead, you are right, UEFA needs to get in on these sort of goings on. £7 as you say to see Italy in Bari, even think the Milan game was only about £11 a ticket, yet the French charge us these prices.

Even the Ukranians and Lithuanians are at it. £20 and £30 tickets for a pish stadium in Lithuania where the locals were paying 1/10th of the price. Likewise in Ukraine, lads I know were buying tickets for home end at the likes of £1.50 a ticket when Scotland fans were charged 10x as much.

Thing is between these costs and this allocation, your looking at the rest of the stadium having loads of Scottish fans in it. There is already a link on the Tartan Army board to the French ticketing agency who sells tickets and as soon as they go on sale I expect hundreds (thousands) of TA to start buying tickets for the French end. Will be interesting to see what the prices are as well.

I'd take it as a compliment fellas, they know its a big game, they just dont want you there giving your team vocal support.
I'd just travel in numbers and pick up tickets there, take some of their allocation from touts, i bet it will work out cheaper.

I said it was moved because of the Rugby World Cup, a tournament/event I don't have a lot of time for funningly enough, seeing as I am not a rugby fan. Didn't say or claim anywhere our football game was bigger than the RWC.

My post implied nothing. I know this because it was me who made the post.

My post stated we were playing at Parc De Prince, not the normal French football stadium and a smaller stadium, because the SDF is hosting games for the RWC.

I may not have any interest in rugby but I do realise that the RWC is a big event, well at least for the nations who play rugby, and as you said, bigger than a Euro 2008 qualifier. If the RWC wasn't on however, we would be playing at the SDF.

You should know me by now Dave, I don't really feel the need to beat about the bush. If I had (wrongly) thought that our game was bigger and should have been played at SDF, ahead of RWC games, then I would have said so in my post, not tried to imply it.

Other grating thing is that the ticket prices for France v Ukraine in June ranged from 20 Euros to a top price of 60 Euros. Tickets for this one, for away end at least start at 60 Euros and also come in at 120 Euros.

I'm a rugby fan and have to post my thoughts as I agree with crowie about the French , their rugby union is also ripping off the fans with their absurd ticketing proceedure.
What must be remembered is that rugby games will be played at both stadiums mentioned.

Saint-Denis is the Stade de France
Paris is the Parc des Princes

Am I right in saying that the Scotland match is on the 12th of September? so it's the England game two days later that is a problem.

I watched France v Wales rugby match in the late 90s and I was impressed with Parc des Princes then , this site shows the stadium

Prices for South Africa v Samoa match at the Parc des Princes on the 9th of September vary between Euro 165 and 29.

Prices for Stade de France vary between Euro 253 and 59 but none are available , which is the same situation in all the Wales matches .There are tickets available on various sites for sale at inflated prices as its not illegal for rugby tickets to be sold at a profit as long it is not on the day outside the ground. This is slightly different to football matches I believe.

I know of friends that are going to Wales v Canada match and have obtained their tickets from a builders merchant who are one of the large number of sponsors for the Rugby World Cup. I am not sure who to blame the IRB or the French but getting tickets is not easy.
