European International Teams

Is it just me or are the European matches becoming duller and duller? I am beginning to find all the teams becoming more defensive and their games just being a bore to watch. I cant think anymore of any great free flowing teams - you go through them Italy, England, Germany - even France are dull these days.

Then i watch a couple of South American games (Brazil v Argentina and Colombia) and these guys know nothing else but to attack. This is how football should be played but its this continent that seems to be ruining it. I dunno, maybe im over exaggerating but ive watched some really poor games in the last year or something.

Re: European International Teams

Nah it isnt just you mate, ive thought this for a while.....

To much at stake to qualify for major tournies, they all seem to want to sit back and hope for a breakaway goal.
It isnt till they get to the tournies that the football livens up ( in most cases anyway )

Re: European International Teams

I suppose it could be called duller Kiko. I just think that there has been a levelling out of skills to a large degree in Europe. There is only a handful of diddy teams now, a lot of sides are closely matched and therefore they have to give their opponents more respect. That makes for tighter games with less scoring chances IMO.
