Re: Isnt it great to see Leeds in the Shit

So what is the hatred for Leeds then exactly as from what i seen they dont seem to have done much wrong?

Obviously if they have done something to be so hated im unaware of it.

Possibly fans are jealous of Leeds success winning the league and going well in CL to semis??

Re: Isnt it great to see Leeds in the Shit

The bunch of shithouses that played for them in the 70's will be what it stems from Kiko. It has nothing to do with the last decade mate.

Plus as well, their fans are regarded as a right bunch of twats. Thats speaking from a Liverpool perspective. I am sure there are groups of fans they get on with and dont give aggro to.

Re: Isnt it great to see Leeds in the Shit

Hatred for Leeds is mainly History Kiko from Man U and Chelsea allthough the latter has only just resurfaced as it wasent that long ago when Chelsea themselves were also dwelling in the lower leagues.

Just realised this thread has resurfaced because of the 15 point deduction, FFS that is harsh and as it will be every teams cup final playing against Leeds in that division I cannot see them getting out of it this yr.

I'd say Man City had a lot better team when we were stuck in Div 2 (now Div1) and other sides always upped there game against us, we managed to reach the playoffs and without a lenient ref against the Gills in the final to get promoted we would have struggled the yr after without the same funds were we to stay in that division as Birmingham found out.

-15 is a huge blow and i'd be surprised to see Leeds overcome that obstacle but saying that it could set them racing from the off and if they get off to a flyer and gain momentum then who knows but it is a big ask.

Re: Isnt it great to see Leeds in the Shit

As Slick says Kiko, it's about history. You can be forgiven for not knowing as you were just a stain in your daddy's pants but Leeds were the DIRITIEST CHEATING FUCKING BUNCH OF HATED CUNTS ON THE ENTIRE PLANET at one stage.

Hard to believe now, and so easy to feel sorry for them just like some over the hill bully who's treated people like shit and now wants to be loved in his deteriorating years (Chirs Eubank would be a good example - cunt). People who lived through those years know that they are scum and people with more recent memories only have to remember Howard Wilkinson sacking the most succesful Enland under 21 manager ever and taking over his job (only to fuck it up) to see why they are so hated.

CUNTS.

May they rot in hell.

Re: Isnt it great to see Leeds in the Shit

What's the 1970's got to do with the current side though? They had some terrific players in the 70's too so it's unfair to keep going on about them being dirty. I always had a soft spot for Leeds due to all the Scot's players they had. Sorry.

Where did people see them finishing without the 15pt deduction? If it was upper-mid table at least they'll be ok won't they?

What's 1970s got to do with it? Are you mad man? If you can name a single more cheating bunch of cunts in the English league EVER (bar Man United who can obviously dictate to the FA) then I'll take back my words.

The even tried to BUY the title by bribing refs and their manager fucked off for a backhander by the Arabs.

Cunts.

I'm not a big fan of Leeds but it's only down to a lot of their supporters (not the majority), they've a bad hooligan element and i've never really forgotten the chant's of 'there's only one Don Revie through Matt Busby's minutes silence'.
Having said that was good to see them win the league and do well in Europe for a couple of seasons just for the genuine and decent fans.

I think they are heading for League two, clubs like Wolves, Burnley, Fulham have all been there in the past, there's no real reason that Leeds wont as they are probably in more shit than any team i've seen in years. What do you think their wage bill holds for the future, not much bigger than what league two players are being paid i'm guessing, with the huge debt's and piss poor backroom staff where is any feel good factor going to come from, where's the motivation?
The're doomed for another decade i reckon, they'll rise again one day though.

Re: Isnt it great to see Leeds in the Shit

Don Revie was one for the arabs and just about summed up what leeds were about, They were hard and took no shit in the 70's allthough i think the main hard man Norman Hunter's pride took a bit of a blow when little fatty Franny Lee nearly took him to the cleaners b4 they got split up, Hunter ddint have a clue what to do when Lee's podgey little fists came in from all angles.

Nowadays both would have got life without parole.

But thats what i was trying to say, Leeds are news and their fans are just as bad, it all adds to a great build up for a match and games themselves, something the likes of Wigan, Reading, Blackburn, Derby etc fail to deliver.

can see the points being reduced on appeal . down to about 8 .
they had 8k fans over in europe for a friendly this week , if the right person takes over it wont belong before leeds are back in the prem .

Tony Yeboah - Legend

33 goals in 65 games for Leeds United

YouTube - Tony yeboahs 5 best goals for leeds united

They might be a right bunch of Yorkshire cunts but then I was 15/16, Yeboah was the man. He sure could thump the ball and scored some belters.

Re: Isnt it great to see Leeds in the Shit

1992 - the godlike Eric Cantona - Leeds to Utd - £1.2 million
1996 - injury stricken Lee Sharpe - Utd to Leeds - £4.5 million

Think their poor financial management was woeful a long time ago!

F*cking hate Leeds and I think its hilarious seeing the shit that they've got themselves into. Bunch of neanderthals - I don't know any group of supporters who deserve this more.

In fact, I find this funnier than when the Bitters went down to the depths a few years ago.

Yeboah was class AFU.

Don't think there are many who could hit a ball as hard as him (and on target! ).

Deffo Wayne. Just a shame that he didnt make it 'big' and get to play in the Premiership until he was 29. Never played professional football til he was 22 or something.

He owns a luxury hotel now in Accra, Ghana. Just incase you're ever passing by you might want to say hello. I think it's called the Yegoala Hotel

Infact, here's Tony's myspace page (apparently)
