Re: The Official Liverpool thread 2007/08

I see young Robert Ryder has moved to Cardiff. Good move that, hooking up with Dave Jones and hasnt Chalky Sinclair just moved down there too?

At least he wont be playing meaningless football 10'000 miles away from 'home' - which was his other option (Sydney FC).

Steve Finnan has signed a 3 year extension to his Anfield deal.

Good news to have secured another player's future. I think Finnan is a very under rated player, a consistant performer and a bloody good defender.

Agreed Kop. Isnt spectacular but he does the simple things well. Uncomplicated and his consistancy allows people around him to get on with their game. Unlike say at Chelsea, where their right-back situation is a calamity and people have to come accross to cover for whichever blunderer is put there.

I've heard they wanted to do 80'000. But apparently the local council wouldnt grant such a large capacity because the transport infrastructure couldnt handle it. Think it was the Echo last week that said the council wanted Liverpool FC to pay for new transport links (a new train station i think) in order to build the ground.

Nooooooooo, sorry Andeee but i totally disagree there, for starters we would get called Notty Ash reds etc or the like. Everton can fuck off out the city if they like but not the 'pool. I've always found parking ok, even if you get there late some scally will look after your car for a fiver down some side street.

We usually park in a school just down the road, £7 but the car is safe as fcuk.

Have you seen the new stadium plans, they're all talking it up but it looks a bit space like bollocks to me. 18,000 in the Kop though

There's no sides down the Kop, that helps drive the atmosphere down on to the pitch at Anfield

It's all to futuristic
