Setanta Sports or Sky Sports..?

Hmmm..In a dilemma.. Fancied resubscribing to Sky Sports for the coming season, but then just noticed that Setanta really offer some good stuff such as Premier League footy, lotsa European League football, Scottish, Conference footy.. Although Sky Sports have the Premiership, Nationwide, Spanish..

Hmmm....Setanta also have the US Golf, tons of NASA American sports and they've just signed up British boxing...

At £9.99 I could be swayed to Setanta..

What do you think?

I would agree that Setanta are a bargain. Dont forget Rick that as of September, you also get access to Liverpool TV as well with Setanta.

Seriously though I think that Setanta is better value. With Sky you have 'something for everyone' but not enough of the stuff I like. Most of the time the 4 channels have either got rugby union, powerboating, wrestling, sailing or some nonsense that I have no interest in. Whereas Setanta concentrates on what I like best, wall to wall football.

If it was an either/or - Setanta every day of the week.

Re: Setanta Sports or Sky Sports..?

Well, 1 month in and I have decided to keep Setanta.

I just love the variety of stuff on there, it's ace. To be honest I do like all sports and Im not just someone who watches football and nowt else. The NASN is currently my most watched channel. Last night I was watching the baseball (Braves v Cardinals) and there was a dramatic 10th innings where St Louis scored 5 runs to win the game. Cracking stuff.

Over on Sky Sports, they were probably showing highlights of Fishomania XV or something.

I do love my American sports. Especially their pronounciation. There's a player for the Cardinals called Albert Pujols (presumably pronounced the same as Carlos Pujol or Barca) anyway, the American commentators pronounced his surname Poo-Hole. I was in stitches all night....

Sacked Sky Movies plus a couple of other of their "packages", saved £10 a month, ploughed that back into a Setanta subscription.

Quite happy to have Setanta alongside Sky Sports but I would still probably plump for Sky Sports if I had to have one or the other. More chance of me watching EPL, La Liga or CL footy.

The racing and football outlook had a very long readers letter, basically he wanted to unsubscribe and after many calls and been passed on to different peolple it took months before he eventually managed to get away from Satanta, this might have been a one off.Im with Crowie,Sky gives me the Prem, la liga and CL dont need anything else.

The motorised dish as Andeee mentions is another option and gives you nearly every game going, I keep saying i'll get one but i watch enough sport as it is.
